WWII - in Estonia. ! In 1944 fierce fighting took place between retreating german forces and the Red Army. App. 22000 germans troops ( among them both danish, norwegian and Swedish voluntiers) held off app. 135000 red army troops. Visit the little museum (which isn´t much) but climb the Grenadier Hill with remnants of the trenches and feel the presence of history.Worth a detour!

The museum itself may not seem like much. But the people who runs it is the REAL attraction. Very interested in their field, and knowledgeable. And very interested in talking about the history of the area and Estonia in general. Loved it.

Внутри очень много вооружения, документов, одежды времен второй мировой войны. Большая часть оригиналы.Само помещение не очень большое, поэтому размещено все тесно. Очень интересны листовки и агитплакаты тех времен. Для детей есть возможность посбивать цели на большом экране.Иногда проходят мероприятия где повторяется боевое сражение. Очень интересно советую посмотреть.Рядом есть парковка.
