Well, I am convinced I was extremely lucky to get in Orleans during Christmas time. In the night the cathedral was colored in pink and purple which made the view one of a kind.Else, for those who love to explore historical buildings this is a must-see Christmas or not.

Especially at night when it is artistically illuminated from all angles.The few Restaurants in the grandly landscaped square on the approach didn't bother to open (go elsewhere for night-life) at night but it was still worth the walk to marval at it up close.

This cathedral is gorgeous. Definitely would recommend a visit, and it's free! The stained glass windows are especially pretty.

The inside will leave you speechless... But take the time to walk around the outside at night... It will be very much worth.

A very beautiful gothic church highlighted by a series of stained glass windows depicting the story of Joan of Arc. Wonderfully symmetric on the outside, the inside is decorated with brightly colored banners as well as other beautiful stained glass windows. Well worth a visit.

A must see when in or close to Orleans, but a word of warning, be sure to take a wide angle lens for your camera! Beautifully lit of an evening and amazing views from every direction.Accessible on foot or by tram. You can park close by for free, if just wanting a quick photograph, without interruption. Countless shops and cafes etc just steps away and lots to see and explore. Tip - There's motorcycle parking opposite the main cathedral entrance in front of the shops, it's free all day every day, it's what the locals use.

The cathedrale is beautiful and larger than life. Almost impossible to catch the beauty of it in one photo. It was recently restored and with the work done on the second tramline you get a closer view as you pass by.

The cathedral is definitely a must see in Orleans. The stained glass rose windows are beautiful ....having been to Chartres cathedral as well this is a close second!

Amazing cathedral, with a lot of history. The walk up to it was amazing and the paintings superb. Lovely little cafe outside to take in the view and atmosphere.

In the French Gothis style, this is a Cathedral to visit if you are all Catheral'd out! It simply took my breath away with its attention to such miniscule detail. It really is so very beautiful. There are some lovely cafe around and about to have a cup of Cafe Noir or Cafe au Lait and admire this stunning piece of architecture.

Wow, both the interior and exterior of this Cathedral are absolutely magnificent. I was absolutely in awe at the size and the stained glass windows are truly beautiful. In all, we found that there was not a great deal to do in Orlean but our visit to Cathedral Ste-Croix did make up for this.

Stunning Cathedral well worth a visit. Great bar across the road to have a relaxing drink and enjoy the view.

Serene historic cathedral at the heart of West European heritage. With its free access puts our own Canterbury Cathedral to shame. Personally I am much more likely to donate rather than pay through the nose for access.

The windows are great , the light is nice. The church is a bit cold in terms of decoration. There is not much explained.
