sveta gora (holy mountain)

Sveta Gora near Nova Gorica in Slovenia is very nice loacation. There is Franciscan Church. That location has long and interesting history. View from Sveta Gora is perfect (Alpe Mountains, Nova Gorica....)

I was there with a local friend and is an amazing place, with an interesting history and beautiful view. If the sky is clear you can also see the sea. Beautiful place to see, because I love mountains and nature ans is surrounded by it.

We visited this church and monastery with a friend who lived in the area. Amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the top of the mountain. But the church itself and it's story are the star attractions. Inside the church is a small area to the left of the altar where people have left their written devotions to the Lady of Sveta Gora (Mary), from whom they associate cures of various ailments. The church itself is grand and beautiful.

Credente o no, vale la pena salire in cima a questo monte sia per lo splendido panorama, sia per fermarsi un attivo a vedere la devozione della gente
