"Santuario right in the middle of a canyon! Good mountain trek from here way back!" The path leading to this is very beautiful with green lakes and nature in summer. There is a bar inside for having lunch! watch out for the bear !

Loved the monastery, great walk, could be considered an energetic walk and it was a bonus to see the bear at the sanctuary adding credence to the story of the hermit monk and his bear.

From the moment we left the bus and headed up the windy tree lined mountain road towards our destination, I felt really relaxed and instinctively knew I was in a special place.The story regarding the history of this holy place is remarkable and you can't help but be drawn in to its soul. This place is unique! Everything about it puts me in a better mood! The walk to reach it is stunning, across a canyon. the view is so great! the santuario itself is a perfectly peaceful place! you can visit until the top of the highest tower (breathtaking sight!), you can have a picnic just outside and also try to catch a glimpse of the bear!

This is an amazing place. We have gone there at our special moments and even there when the was a Wedding. Lovely walks through the woods and local ares.

St. Romedio (4th century) was a hermit who lived , according to the legend, with a bear on the top of a small mountains lost in the woods. When he died a small chapel was built where he lived and his tomb is still there. Monks and hermits built other 4 chapels around the first one and the sanctuary was born. The chapels are from the Romanesque period to the 19th and they are well conserved while the sanctuary is still used and you can see a lot of ex-voto s. The sanctuary is worth visiting and my suggestion is to get there walking if possible. There are many different trail you can use: some are short , some adventurous and some other very long. We took a long walk from Fondo-Romeno-Don and then walked to st.Romedio and took a long time, but it was very good first in the high-terrace and then by the river (be aware of ice, if in winter). Another good walk is the one from Sanzeno which we took to come back: you can follow the road or climb in a rock trail which seems quite easy but was closed when we went there.

Per fortuna abbiamo deciso di allungare la strada di ritorno e passare a visitare il Santuario, molto bello purtroppo la passeggiata panoramica era chiusa per ghiaccio ma ci sarebbe piaciuto percorrerla. Il Santuario molto suggestivo, arrampicato sulla roccia da visitare assolutamente.

Luogo stupendo,tenuto in maniera esemplare,silenzioso e ricco di spiritualità, il sentiero purtroppo era ghiacciato quindi è stato necessario utilizzare la strada per veicoli, l'orso non si è visto ma ne vale comunque la pena! Ottimo.

Ci si può arrivare a piedi attraverso un suggestivo sentiero scavato nella roccia, sconsigliato a chi soffre di vertigini ed in estate in quanto esposto al sole.è raggiungibile comodamente con il bus navetta.Il santuario è imponente, ben curato e se non c'è la calca di gente è piacevole soffermarsi a pensare nel silenzio di queste mura.

Lasciate la macchina al primo parcheggio che incontrate e salite a piedi al santuario. Dal basso il santuario, parzialmente nascosto dagli alberi, sembra quasi un castello della fiabe. Davanti al santuario si trova un recinto dove, se siete fortunati e non è periodo del letargo, si può ammirare un orso bruno. Il santuario è molto suggestivo e curato. Favolosa la vista dall'alto.

bellissimo posto in mezzo alla natura!noi ci siamo stati con la neve ed è stato veramente magico camminare in quei boschi col piccolo torrente e sentire solo i rumori della natura!le scalette che portano al Santuario sono piacevolissime.Il Santuario è un posto stupendo e sembra di sentire la magia della meditazione.....posto da favola veramente!!!

Santuario arroccato su uno sperone di roccia alto più di 70 metri nascosto tra i boschi. Raggiungibile a piedi con un percorso adatto a tutti. San Romedio visse come eremita per molti anni, secondo la leggenda in compagnia di un orso, infatti vicino all'ingresso del Santuario vi è un recinto dove è ospitato un orso, non lo abbiamo visto in quanto in questo periodo (febbraio) forse è in letargo. Il Santuario di San Romedio è formato da cinque piccole chiesette sovrapposte, collegate tra loro da una lunga scalinata di 130 gradini. Luogo molto suggestivo, lungo le pareti interne che costeggiano la scalinata si possono vedere i molti ex voto. E' possibile anche acquistare dei souvenir in un piccolo negozietto. Sicuramente vale la pena farvi visita.

luogo di raccoglimento e meditazione. E' un eremo , molto curato. Molti scalini da percorrereper arrivare sino in cima. La piccola chiesetta è riscaldata. Sono presenti ex-voto alle pareti. I percorsi brevi erano inibiti causa gelo ma si poteva arrivare a piedi, dopo aver lasciato l'auto nel parcheggio gratuito, in poco tempo.

Ė un luogo incantato su una roccia in mezzo hai boschi. Il santuario ė tenuto in modo perfetto e la presenza dell'orso rende piacevole la visita anche hai più piccoli. Il santuario ė raggiungibile sia in auto che a piedi percorrendo uno dei tanti sentieri ben segnati e tenuti. Sul luogo si trova anche un piccolo negozio di souvenir.
