Beautiful Medioeval castle. Inside there is a weapon museum, reminding that Brescia has always had a long tradition in manufacturing weapons. The view is outstanding, with a beautiful park, and a vineyard just below the castle.Plan to spend at least a couple of hours just to stroll around it. Next time I'd like to take a guided tour underground.

If you ended up in Brescia, you cannot not see the castle, especially that you see its walls from most places in the city. Worth raising your head up)

The fantastic views are well worth the climb. The pathway up would not be suitable for wheelchairs, I don't think, although there may be another route up from the other side. I have seen a few people up there with pushchairs, though. There are plenty of places to sit on the way up for those who like a walk, but need a wee rest now and again! The view from the very top is panoramic and on a clear day, you can see for miles. The pathways and gardens are well-used both by locals and tourists, so as a result are a little worn. It is however, a very tidy and well-maintained attraction, which should not be missed from your itinerary. The cafes seem to be closed up during winter months, so pack a picnic for your hungry hoard.

Wonderful views of the city and many paths to wander around with good signs, in English and Italian, to learn about the history of the castle and area. Small museum that charges under the top of the castle but most areas are free to view.

In sunny days I enjoy very much to walk around in the park of this castle. By the way, the castle itself is huge, extremely intersting, and very well conserved. The castle includes two museums. It is possible to walk on all the small towers of the external massive wall, which offer very nice views of the city, all around. When leaving the castle it also very nice to walk downhill toward the centre, by following one of the many narrow streets or steps available. A must if you travel in Lombardia.

The castle is the centerpiece for Brescia. It commands a view of the entire city and surrounding hillsides. We walked the perimeter and hiked the hill to see as much of the castle as we could close up. It was fascinating. Signage makes learning of the castle easy. There was a small kiosk below the main gate where refreshments are sold. It's a great destination and and terrific place to launch from to see the rest of Brescia.

Ancient Castle at the top of the hill. A perfect place for joggers to run up the hill in the morning to enjoy a magnificent sight of the city from above and not to mention the fresh air.

Huge ancient fortification in the centre if town. Great if you like climbing lots and lots of steps. Signage in several languages. Very impressive views, well worth a visit.

This is a good vantage point to look over the city and beyond from up high. Easy to park on the roads outside and just stroll around the castle and keep walking up and up to look over Brescia. Well worth a visit to see over the city. Nothing else to do other than to take in the views and take some shots which is what you want if you want some good views of Brescia.

Superb castle! in excellent condition, open during the day, free entrance. Walls and passages, in an atmsphere of many years ago!

I think it's worth a visit because of the view, you have a really panoramic view of Brescia from a few places in the castle.there isn't much else to do besides that, but it's really worth it, if you like beautiful view. :)

It is an impressive site and the views over the city and Alps are terrific. There was nothing much else though, the attractions were closed when we were there and it all felt rather abandoned, we almost had it to ourselves (admittedly the weather was not great). I do not want to discourage anyone from going, the views alone are worth the effort, but once you have walked around the grounds that is it really

This castle is the real deal, it is huge, the architecture reminds you of its interesting past, it is located in the top of a hill so geting here on foot is a nice and interesting hike but you can park your car near the entrance too. The castle museum only opens on weekends but the castle itself can be visited every day and it offers a gorgeous view of the city.

I really like this part of Brescia. Great views of the town and the countryside! It's lovely to walk around and take it all in. It's not a difficult walk. Well worth it for the views of the surrounding area alone and the castle is a bonus too!
