We arrived on June 24th (I think) it was bike only day which suited me down to the ground as we were touring Europe. I found the front desk, eventually and not a sole in sight. Wandered around and found ourselves in the museum tour, and found a staff member, who didn't speak English. fair enough I'm in Germany but hey, how about having the attractions in both. I tied asking two or three other staff members how to get on track and all shrugged. Now I don't know if it was because we got there are dinner time, or because it was bike only day but no one seemed to care or try and help. The place itself looks awesome, museum was great although all in German including the films. I guess I was just a little fed up I couldn't get on track, having said this I hear that because of the weather, the first rain in many weeks the track was very slick and a few bikes went down.

I visited the Nurburgring racetrack in early October with the intent of renting a race car from one of the 2 or 3 companies located at the track that rent race-prepared cars for use on the track. Note that you can NOT drive your regular rental car from Hertz, Avis etc. at the track. (Read the contract - its' usually in the small print.) When I arrived Nurburg, it was beginning to rain and the track was already wet. I decided that since I hadn't driven the track before, nor driven the available rentals before, and because the track places about a $10,000 hold on your credit-card until you bring back the undamaged car, it would be wiser for me to take the "ring taxi". (The Aston martin Co-Pilot ride was not available as it has to be reserved months in advance!!) The track offers two ring taxis, a BMW M3 Sedan and and a BMW M5 Sedan. They will soon also have a Porsche Panamera AWD Sedan! I choose the M-5 and paid the 250-Euro for one lap with a professional track driver ("Theo") who claimed to have over 1,000 laps under his belt. It was fantastic!!! Money well spent!!! The ~21-kilometer lap only lasted about 10-minutes (the track record is just over 6-minutes) and we hit 178mph on the final straightaway. We seldom saw the underside of 50-mph even in the 21 various turns. All this in the pouring rain. I never felt like we were going too fast, and was able to video most of it on my iPad the ride was so smooth. I can't wait to go back and do it again, although if the weather is good, I will drive one of the rental 200hp VW Siroccos next time for 4 or 5 laps.

Very likely the fastest and quickest car on the track on any given day will be this n24 vantage they allow you toBe a passpassenger inVery short experience for the price but very hard to say it's not worth itOnly bad thing was the organization of actually getting a spot in the car The driver was awesome with his running commentary of each corner or section

Ok - I like cars, I like nice cars, sports cars and I like to drive quickly, but safely. I've owned some nice sports cars, but I'm not a massive 'petrol head' or in any way mechanically capable. However, recently, a good friend & I travelled to Germany to 'Drive the Ring' and it was simply one of the best, most exhilarating experiences of my life. I can't describe it all here, but if you think you want to do it - do it! Based on my experience, it will be better than you ever imagined! Chris & I and our partners flew out to Frankfurt, having pre-booked a 200bhp Renault Clio Clubsport with RSRacing and had the day of our lives. The car park would be great for anyone into cars - M3s, 911s abounded, with a few Ferraris and then a multitude of other car makes and bikes. A lap each with an instructor to learn the worst bits - 14.9 miles and 76 corners (80% blind) -and then we were on our own. Top speeds were 'only' about 120mph, but carrying speed through corners, admiring the pace of M3s passing you - brilliant. My best lap - 11'24" - but I'll be back next year to beat it! The cost - £800 car hire (split between 2), £150 each flights, £50 each hotel (loyalty card deal!) and then whatever you choose to spend on beer and food as you tell tales of your day... Do it..!

Took a trip to the Nurburgring - Fantastic. Ducatti Motor bikes had the track all day and were filming - it was exciting, noisy and just 1,000,000 times better than watching on TV.If you are are ever in this region it's a 'must do'.6 Euros for a guided tour (Group rate) and it was more than you couls ask for. Went to the Pits, the Paddock and stood on the winners podium.Bliss

Our group were privileged to visit this development test centre. We were made very welcome and shown round their facilities. It was a very interesting facility for any car enthusiast.

Be prepared to wait. Staff is friendly - but many, many accidents on ring. This can postpone your drive for 2-4 hours. Be prepared to wait. The drive is awesome.

No matter how good you think you are as a driver, you quickly realize there's a quantum leap to the standard of the guys who drive this car around the 'ring'. We flew past everything out there on the track. Well worth every euro!

This was the highlight of my 3 week motoring holiday through UK and europe. It was quite expensive but worth every euro. It would take hundreds of laps to get to be able to drive at anything like that speed yourself which is fine if you live near there but if your coming as a one off you must do this.I also hired a Renault Clio and drove around myself which was also a great experience.

A long held ambition fulfilled by this hot lap with the Nurburgring Driving Academy. Truly professional setup with the N24 Aston Martin in full race trim, race suit, HANS device, full face helmet not to mention the professional driver Marco who kept up a full commentary as we barreled thru the Eiflel countryside blasting past the BMW ring taxis and JUST about everything else... And its remarkable value compared to similar rides elsewhere in the world, you can't do a lap of Mount Panorama at Bathurst for $350AUD !!! go early in the morning, book two laps then spend the the rest of the morning checking out the carpark- like an exotic motor show- unforgettable, thank you Nurburgring Driving Academy.
