The key can be obtained at the Tourist Information centre (must be returned before 6 pm), you‘ll need it as the graveyard is large and is spread over a steep slope, thus one cannot overlook the graveyard from the gate. In front of the former " Eicheler Tor" (and nowadays oposite the bridge) the Jewish cemetery was established in 1406, thus amongst the oldest cemeteries in Germany, 72 headstones from 15th century remained preserved, even more of a later date.
