Went to Hockenheim this year having been to Spa, Magny Cours and Valencia in recent years, we had seats in the Inner Tribune, or stadium section, great sests, brilliant view, except for when Lewis crashed right in front of us in qualifying. The Ferrari fans took the Mickey, however on the Sunday, needless to say, they left early. The only downside is that like many continental circuits, you only have acces to the one stand all weekend, however, the Inner Tribune is so big you can move around and get I bit of a different view. Also quite a walk from the car parks. We camped a great quiet campsite about 20 minutes to the south of the circuit.

As we are fans for F1, this year we decided to go to Hockenheim. It was an interesting experience as the temperature in the sun was up to 40 degrees- it was hard to sit and watch F1 anywhere. We stayed in city near- Mannheim- place called Loewe in guest house ZUM LOEWE (never stay inguest house, its owner really is psycho, and I mean it- we are travelling with a whole family, everyone can tell this) really beautiful city, a lot of things to see around. As it was really hot in these days I missed the place were to swim. There is a public pol, but it was full everyday... Shops- emmmmm... as everywhere in Europe..., if you want to go for shopping better ask for someone for city near... Food- on your own choice, but the small pubs are great :) :) :)

The ring is beautiful, well organized and clean.I was there on a Saturday morning, while heading to Nurburgring. There are 2 races on that day, with Porsches and another with Formulas. Didn't have to pay anything to watch those races, totally free, accessed the benches and spent the whole end of morning/beg of afternoon there.I also visited the ring museum, with a very small entrance fee. There you will find information about each of the F1 legends that win a Grand Prix, see some motor bikes and race cars. It's cheap, and worth the visit.

Had a seat near the first bend which was ideal for the action. Only downside was the 20-minute walk and then rugby scrimmage to get the bus back to the train station.

I've been to Hockenheimring twice this year. Both for a SuperMoto event of Agentur-Grenzbereich (www.agentur-grenzbereich.de). The first one was over easter days and during the event "1000km von Hockenheim" and the second on the first August weekend during the "Public Race Days".The accomodation and infrastructure there is very good and the organisational part from Agentur-Grenzbereich has been perfect!Go and get a chance to have a look around the Hockenheimring-Area.

There was plenty of food and drink stalls and the German Beer Garden was fun. The stand we were at was good it had our own drinks stalls, snack bar and restrooms. So you could only use if you had tickets to that particular stand. Although there was a sever lack of cold drinks. Everything was served warm due to the heat. Entertainment wise (except F1) there was a stage but we struggled to figure out what it was for. Were there live performances? Show's? Talks? we'll never know as the staff were also clueless.

Not to be missed. Yearly event where student engineering teams from all over the world compete in an almost week long competition consisting of presentations and on track competition in student built spec scaled down formula style race cars. This is our future, and these kids are just unbelievable. A great feel good experience, and very informative. Bring a teen who is unsure of what he wants to be when he grows up and engineering might be on top of the list after experiencing this.

Awesome facility and a top notch place to take in Europe's best car and motorcycle drag racers do battle on the quarter mile at speeds up to 300 mph! Upgrade to the the 1/4 mile club if possible, it will not disappoint!

We've been here several times over the years to watch the F1 race. It is always a great place to watch the race with easy access to the track and plenty of parking. Not much to do in Hockenheim itself besides the race, but there are many other cities (such as Heidelberg, Schwitzinger and Mannheim) nearby that are a quick car or bike ride away.

Was here for the 2014 German Grand Prix. Compared to Silverstone, this is the way that a grand prix should be run. Was able to drive from Frankfurt straight into a free car park in the town with plenty of parking, and a free shuttle bus to the circuit itself. Even on Sunday, it took less than an hour to go the 60 miles. The food selection was large and surprisingly well priced. Had great seats in the south grandstand, which were also extremely affordable. Not sure about other people's comments about there not being screens, as there was one or more in front of every grandstand. After the race, it took about an hour to get back to the car and out of the car park, which is very good considering the number of cars and people attending. If you want to go to a Grand Prix, and are considering Silverstone, I'd advise visiting somewhere like this instead...

I have visited other European circuits and with Hockenheim I did not have a very well placed seat. I was completely in the open and the temperature soared into the 30's during qualifying so I did not hang around for very long. On race day it was overcast so I was more comfortable. However, at any race spectators are dependent on commentary and screens in order to be aware of what is happening on the rest of the circuit. Hockenheim's screens were noticeable by their absence. Our coach driver also had difficult finding his coach park as the road signage was not clear.

Went for the F1 to this circuit and sat in Mercedes Tribune high. Absolutely amazing views and not just the track. Visited the Museum, quite small but has a good selection.

I took my son to the final weekend of the a German DTM series and was truly impressed with the track, the facilities, and the atmosphere at Hockenheim. This trip marked the 2nd time at Hockenheim for a DTM race. There is something to be said for consistency when it comes to giving thousands of race fans a great time. The course is well laid out and even the cheap seats in the A and B stands are in a great location to catch the action. Hockenheim has ample parking and clean facilities. Families will be pleased with the track and the great "bang for the buck," or Euro in this case!
