This is a large thermal bath center. It has many pools with various temps and degrees of salt. They have a very good locker system. I also signed up for a 15 minute massage which was too short. If I had called days before instead of the day before I might have been able to book a longer massage. The lunch was very delicious, They serve beer and wine. No cameras allowed.

The place is fabulous, the choice of pools is great, but the staff is not really great in service and the atmosphere seems a bit too regimental for visitors who want to relax.I would go back but I would like staff at reception desk to be more informative towards people especially us non German speakers.Excellent value for money though, I wish we had this in the UK.

We enjoyed both sides. Pool is realy good but crowded at that time no place to swim. More elderly (over 60) outside pool is good, wirlpool seats around are greith. Sauna area is not the best we visted in Germany, many are too small for all people visiting this place, many customer have loud conversations at many places, this is strange for Germany.It is difficult to find out by yourself but you have to as you get no help. Use you coin to get a key to get a locker to know where you are are have to go. A map with some pictures would help to find out how it works. Prices are on right level for the place same for the restaurant.

Inside and outside warm salt pools, sauna, jacuzzi, steams of salt, small baby pool. A great afternoon with the kids. There is also a small restaurant if you are hungry.

It's hard to be too unhappy in a German spa, but frankly this one is not up to the standard of many of the spas in the Black Forest area. On a practical note, nobody tells you what to do when you arrive. So you get changed, then find you need a key to use your locker, but there is no clue as to how to get it. If a French-speaking bather hadn't taken pity on us and explained where to obtain the key, we wouldn't have had a clue how to do it. It's really not obvious.Once inside, we found that the Thermalbad side is not particularly attractive. It's also very crowded and there were children and babies. The salt water is pleasant, and unusual, but the massage jets are very weak and don't stimulate the tissues (so what's the point of having them?)The Sauna side is better: no children, and you can take all your clothes off (in fact you are obliged to do so). There is an open fire you can sit round after your sauna-shower-plunge pool routiune. There are also outdoor pools, one quite large and quite warm, the other small and very cold (great for post-sauna bathing or on a hot day). It was good to discover a new spa, but I wouldn't go back because there are so many spas around which are much more attractive and less crowded.However, one good point is that the staff were all very nice.

12,000 square meters of spa, saunas and therapies seems like an exaggeration but it's true! Fantastic indoor and outdoor pools. Turkish baths. Saunas. Salt grotto. We spent 3 hours in the pool area and came out relaxed and boneless. The 45 minutes in the salt grotto (remember to get there at least 10 minutes before your appointment time) capped off the day. The price for the 3 hours was definitely competitive and money well spent. Children have their own pool area as well as access to the other pool areas. Fantastically rejuvenating time! Definitely planning a return trip, maybe planning for a longer stay in the area.

What an excellent facility. It gets better the second time you go. The sauna/steam areas are so relaxing. There are many different saunas - different temperatures -with pools & hot tubs adjacent -also relaxation areas -outside & inside. You go nude -it is not a problem at all . But, perhaps North Americans would have some issues (some of us are not in the best shape) and there seems to be a taboo on nudeness in our society - but not so with the Europeans -noone really looks at you, or seems ro care, for that matter. The Thermal bath areas are excellent -with wellness pools (mineral wqter with outstanding theraputic facilities and professional couselling) as well as several indoor and outdoor heated/natural pools, whirlpool, baths, and heat lamp ares.Also, there are several large, grassy ares with chaise lounges for taking in some rays -close to outdoor restaurants which serve a host of good healthy foods, beer , wine etc.You gotta be a real grinch not to like this place. All for 33 Euros for the two of us. My wife and I give it an A plus

A really great facility! Large indoor and outdoor areas, comprising pools, saunas and sun-lougers etc. You can get hot and cold food at the cafe. A great place to relax and reasonably priced - entry for 2 for 3 hours, plus a hot stone massage for my girlfriend was 51 euros.

Solemar in Bad Durrheim was on our route from the Bodensee to Offenburg and was a wonderful midpoint stop. The spa is very relaxing and was not touristy at all like other European spas we've been too. The access is easy and well worth the fun time. Bring your own towels or bathrobes. We were there for 3 hours and enjoyed the warm thermal waters. There's also an outdoor poor and jacuzzi which was a bit cooler than inside since it was freezing outdoors.Definetely a good time.

It is a swimming pool for kinds but also for adults. next to the pools are the salt water baths, they are in and outside. These baths are healthy for your skin.

Als wir ankamen, fanden wir am Boden schwarze Flusenauf dem Boden der Umkleideräume. Bei der Rückkehr, 4 Stunden später, waren die gleichen Flusen noch immer da. Obwohl laut Putzplan 2x sauber gemacht worden ist. Die Staubmäuse unter den Spinden waren auch immer noch da. Dann gönnte sich meine Freundin und ich je eine Portion Käsesahne Spätzle. Dass die Sauce säuerlich schmeckte, taten wir als es muss so sein ab. Meiner Freundin wurde speiübel und ich hatte eine längere Sitzung. Interessanterweise, war es eine Einzeltoilette und ich konnte hören, wie während dieser Zeit die Eimer geleert wurden. Auf Dem Putzplan wurde gereinigt vermerkt. Meiner Meinung nach, hätte das Gesundheitsamt alle Rechte, die Institution zu schliessen.

Großzügig angelegtes Solebad mit mehreren Becken verschiedener Temperaturen (33°C bis 37°C) Sole-Konzentration zwischen 3% und 7% und einem Außenbereich. Dort gibt es neben Sole- auch ein Becken mit Süßwasser. Das 37°C-Becken ist allerdings nicht für eine längere Badedauer geeignet, da dies den Kreislauf ziemlich belastet! Zusätzlich gibt es im Badebereich ein Dampfbad ("Solegeysir") mit regelmäßigen kostenlosen Sondereinlagen wie Peelings. Ebenso ist ein größeres Gradierwerk vorhanden, in dem man fein zerstäubte Sole einatmet, was sich für die Atemwege ausgesprochen wohltuend bemerkbar macht.Die im rustikalen Schwarzwälder Stil gestaltete Schwarzwald-Sauna wurde kürzlich erweitert. Die Saunen sowie das Dampfbad im Hauptgebäude sind etwas arg klein geraten, so daß man dort hin und wieder keinen Platz zu den manuellen Aufgüssen mehr findet. Dafür sind die externen Saunen umso großzügiger. Den Übergang zwischen Bad und Sauna finde ich ein wenig umständlich. Im Obergeschoß der Sauna gibt es noch einen großzügigen Ruhebereich.Der Gastronomie-Bereich ist teilweise Selbstbedienung (bestellen an der Theke, Speisen werden am Tisch serviert), Preise, Angebot und Qualität finde ich voll in Ordnung. Die Rechnung wird auf den Chipcoin gebucht und am Ausgang des Bades bezahlt.Im Wellnessbereich kann man sich mit einem großen Angebot verschiedener Massagen und anderer Anwendungen verwöhnen lassen. Die Qualität der Anwendungen ist gut bis sehr gut, es lohnt sich aber, frühzeitig vorab zu reservieren. Für die Behandlungszeiten gibt es eine Zeitgutschrift auf den Coin.Bei den Schrankschlüsseln - hier kenne ich nur den Saunabereich - gibt es eine Besonderheit gegenüber vielen anderen Thermen: gleich nach dem Eingangsdrehkreuz muß ein Wertfach belegt werden. Der Schlüssel hierzu enthält auch den Spindschlüssel und hält den Chipcoin.Fazit: Schön gestaltete Therme mit umfassendem Angebot. Ein paar kleinere Abstriche müssen beim Übergang zwischen Sauna- und Badebereich gemacht werden; die älteren Saunen im Hauptgebäude sind wirklich nett gemacht, aber zu klein geraten.

Wie in der Bewertung für das Hotel am Solegarten bereits geschildert, haben meine Frau und ich einen vergnüglichen Sülvesterabend bei gutem Essen und Tanzen verbracht. Schöne großzügige Tanzfläche, gefühlvolle und nicht zu laute Musik. Feuerwerk mit inbegriffen. Hotelchefin einschließlich das Personal waren nicht aufdringlich,aber immer präsent. Das Menü wurde in den Pausen serviert, dazwischen immer Tanzeinlagen.

Insgesamt alles sehr alt. Personal na ja.. nicht unbedingt freundlich. Man bekommt keine Aufklärung wo man einen Spindschlüssel bekommt und wo was ist. Man irrt erstmal durch die Gänge Ausserdem riecht es komisch und unangenehm. Schlechte Therme. Wasser zu kalt. Wenn man sich was gutes tuen will fährt man an die Bodenseetherme oder Galaxy bei Tittisee.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber doch recht gut. Das Solemar teilt sich in zwei Bereiche. Den Badeteil mit den Salzbäder und den Wellnessbereich mit den Saunas. Man kann eine Kombieintritt lösen oder die Teile einzeln besuchen. Wir haben die Kombi gewählt weil wir den ganzen Tag zur Verfügung hatten. Wenn man etwas weniger Zeit hat ist der Saune Teil empfehlenswert. Es hat dort auch ein Aussenbereich mit Pool uns Sprudelbad. Das ist aber Süsswasser. Wenn man die Solle will muss man in den anderen Teil. Da ist das kleine Bad mit dem 9% Solle-Wasser empfehlenswert. Die Saunawelt ist grosszügig gestaltet und hat einen ganz neuen Anbau mit einer grossen Saune. Auch wenn es viele Gäste hat verteilen die sich in die unzähligen Saunaräume. Und findet fast immer eine wo es gerade einen Aufguss gibt. Echt ein Besuch wert.
