The medieval Roman Church Donsbrüggen (Cleves) was demolished in 1854 and was replaced by a neo-Gothic church (design architect Ernst Friedrich Zwirner (who also designed the dom of Cologne). By 1960 most of the neo-Gothic décor had been removed, the Northern arm of the transept wag enlarged in 1961. Above ts entry portal the coat-of-arms of baron von Hövell who financed nearly all, his tomb is situated at the cemetery next to the Church. The church is opened at prayer services, but one can peek trough the glass door to chck out its interior. A tip: closeby is the Donsbrüggen windmill situated.
