The most easily accessible beach on the island! But it has a lot of people! You can find to eat, or drink your coffee! if you have kids, stay there, otherwise, by the right side and after some walking, you will find another, incredible beach !!!

We've been coming to this beach for over 25 years. Our now 11 year old learned to walk here. NOW there are people. And tavernas. The water is the same. Beautiful (unless you've got winds hitting the wrong direction and then it is muddy and awful). There are cliffs to jump off of for the older kids. But be careful if the tide is out as it can get too shallow for jumping. Pasithea taverna is up the stairs and the view from there is spectacular. At this beach you will find Greeks playing paddle board, kids and adults swimming and laying about. The vibe is very laid back, family beach. There is a small dock there as well that has boats that will take you to the other beaches that are harder to access. They boats do not run if the wind is to high. Bring your sunscreen and/or an umbrella...there is no shade save for the tavernas. Road down to the beach is very steep. You will want to drive or take the bus. You can hike in from a foot path as well. Not simple hike. Also if you drive - take care to see when the bus is scheduled. It is a narrow road and if you meet the bus coming the opposite direction...uh oh.

This is a beautiful small organised beach with crystal clear waters and stunning views from nearby restaurants. I highly recommend taking a trip to Agali Beach when visiting Folegandors but be aware that if are visiting off season local buses either do not run or are quite infrequent so the only other options are to walk or take a taxi (there is only one on the island!).

We walked to and from Chora on Folegandros to Agali Beach which is a fairly easy one way 40 mins walk. Like all of Folegandros the scenery along the way is simply amazing. Agali Beach offers a course sand beach with crystal clear water and is bordered each side by several restaurants. In October only one restaurant was open but by far we had our best meal here while staying on Folegandros. Perched overlooking the beach the restaurant offered fresh fish (clear eyes on the fish a mark of freshness) and as always a fresh simple Greek salad. The setting fantastic, the view stunning, the host friendly and the great. A nice way to spend a long leisurely lunch. We had visited 6 years earlier, ate at the same restaurant nothing had changed... How nice! If you walk a little further over the hill you'll find a small bay with pebbled shore and even clearer water ... And several small huts for rent. Perfect!

A lovely bay with sandy beach and safe swimming. A small selection of tavernas and bars. Boats to take you to nearby coves and buses to tale you back to town. There's a lovely waymarked path from Chora to Angeli - great to get you there but we'd recommend the bus for the return journey

Very nice and clean beach with crystal water!!!Maybe the most accessable beach in the island with nice road and some tavernas also in the area!!

As with all beaches, you must visit this one when the wind is not blowing directly into it from the sea. In sheltered conditions, this beach is stunning with crystal clear water and lovely little coves to explore by snorkeling to the left side. Alternatively, you can catch a boat to St. Nicholas beach around to the right, or walk there in 20 minutes. The views are fantastic, which makes daytime dining here and in Agali a great pleasure. Buses to and from Chora leave regularly. It's a lovely part of Folegandros.

It's nice and a good option if you don't want to spent more than the bus ticket from Chora to Agali. The boat ticket from here to Ag. Nikolaos beach is 5 euros and to Livadaki beach, 9 euros.

Nice sandy not organised beach starting points to boat trips to the beaches of Livadaki and Agios Nikolaos.

since the bus goes there it can be crowded. Better to hike to the more private beaches in the area. We did have a nice ice coffee from the place up the hill

Sunny, with waves, surrounded by some coffee bars and restaurantsArrive early in the morning to be sure to have a good spot No umbrella rental

Agali is easily accessible from Chora by bus (4 euros per person). The beach is sandy and relatively shallow. There are restaurants near the beach. Agali is beautiful and gets crowded at noon in high season. If you don't like that, you should visit Agali early in the morning.

The beaches on Folegandros are mostly poor. Mainly they are small, pebbley and often not very clean. This is the best beach on the island but that isn't saying a lot !

Not expecting a lot at this beach with 3-4 restaurants and cafes...not expensive.Agali is one of the nearest to Chora beaches...doing there by bus ...paying 2euros pp per each way.Taking a boat to next to Agali beaches it depends on the weather, winds etc... as not easy to reach these beaches (agios Nikolas etc...)on foot as you have to climb a more than 80% uphill way!!!

First of all, agali means hug in greek. You will find that the Aegean can be quite windy during the summer, especially during july and august when the northern summer wind (called meltemi) is at its highest. Agali, as well as the beaches next to it, is very well protected. Enjoy your day there, have coffee at Amoudaki and eat at Psaromiligas Tavern. It is a tavern run by the same family for almost three generations and the food is exactly as it should be: traditional greek, simple, super yummy and not expensive. Don't be afraid to order fish. Mr Panagiotis has never treated us to anything but fresh fish every single time we ve been there. You can take a boat to Agios Nikolaos and Livadaki beaches, both very beautiful and worth the visit. On your right, as you approach the beach, you will see the small beginning of a small path leading to Agios Nikolaos. It is a very good alternative to the boat. It will save you 5 euro per person and will give you many shutter happy moments with breaktaking views. It is not more than a 25 minutes walk and it is definitely worth the effort!
