This place was amazing, the beach was like talcum powder and the water was sooooo clear! Best to go when the weather is at its best but beautiful none-the-less, the only downfall was the boat on the way there, the Libyan sea that you cross to get there is a little bit choppy, so if you get a boat you can feel a bit pat and mick!! My advice would be to sit upstairs in the centre so you don't feel the rocking and you have the fresh air :)

Ive visited it Chrisi twice. First time I had been walking in everywhere there and I found a wild place for peaceful sunbathing, second time I was lucky to get excursion by car, Pandelis, thank you for amazing memories of the place! Water, trees, sand...everything deserves your attention

I like clear turquoise water, fruit salad in mini restaurant, peace, close to Crete island, pretty awesome little island

One of the best place ever visited. Reading the previous reviews, we were expecting a windy island, but actually that was not the case. A placid and relaxing day with only few people around made the experience even better since we had the chance to admire the island in all its wildness. Warmly recommended!

nice place to go, but ships leave very early back to Crete, I would have preferred to stay longershallow water

We had such a lovely and outstanding day with NAUTILUS Cruises. With a few nice people we spend all day together, first after about 30 minutes boat ride you arrive at Chrissi island, which is realy, realy beautiful! You can spend time on the island on your own. Then you go back on the elegant yacht and enjoy a swim in the sea or jump off the boat while the crew is prepareing a rich and tasty fresh lunch for you. Drinks, wine, beer as much as you want. The crew treated our daugther in a realy nice way and we appreciated that. Many thanks as well for the special surprise for her. She was so happy and it was a special day for her.

The state of the toilets on the ferry are abysmal. If you buy sandwiches on ferry, there is no butter on bread! If half dead trees and sand dunes are supposed to be scenic beauty, I'm lost for words. At 10 euros for a parasol and 2 beds, the locals earn good money, it's a pity they don't provide decent toilets, not fit for animals let alone humans, take a spade!Lovely beach, that's all. Not worth 25 euros each to visit.

Chrissi Island is really beautiful and worth a daytrip (25€) :) As it actually is off-season (went on 9 october) there was just 1 boat leaving from Ierapetra, usually there are 4 boats a day. So the island was not crowded at all. The umbrella and seats cost 10€ (Golden Beach), but if you continue walking you will find abandoned umbrellas for free ;) Worth a day trip! Beach is covered with beautiful seashells and the blue of the water is amazing :)

Beautiful but spoiled by a littered beach and loud noise from the cooling engines and the music from the bars. Shame as if it was not for the party contingent I would have found the Island enchanting.

After 40 minutes of boat ride we arrived at the island Chrissy. This small summer only inhabited island is located in the Libyan Sea, about 8 miles from Ireapetra. Chrissi is almost flat with colorful volcanic rocks, covered in gold sand, purple shells and sand dunes. At the Byzantine era the main source of income was fishing, salt export and the export of porfira (scarlet dye). The turquoise waters around island are shallow. The island is also a taverna where we had a delicious lunch and drink. I had swordfish with fries, and then for coffee when they played Pink Floyd, no more comment :)
