The reality is that we have chosen to visit Lafkioti winery due to a jazz trio appearance during the Nemea Days of Wine between 5-7 of September. That we didn't know the winery is explained from the fact that its wines are 90% exported, having a very limited presense in the Greece. Beyond the beautiful jazz trio of Evgenia Harlafti -appeared also in 2013 festivity- we have been surprised from the hospitality of Lafkioti family. After the difficult first minutes of perplexity -we explain later on the reason- family hospitality was generously given to us, and we thank them very much. Lafkioti winery view is among the best in the region and we intend to visit it during the day to enjoy it under the daylight too. The visit night, essentially a night of welcoming friends from the region and friends of the winery -we understood we were the only "strangers" in this night- continued in a very good and friendly mood from all the participants, so finally we felt home. The winery offered dinner and wines for free, which is much appreciated, but it is a proof of Greek hospitality, beyond the promotional side of this event. We tasted only a bottle of "Agionymo" of 2010, since we had a long way of return, a red Agiorgitiko wine, which was very good, with noble aromas and elegant approach in wine making. The winery, as said before, is located in a beautiful site and offers wine tasting during the entire week. We will visit it again for the hospitality and the view -that's why the 5- and for tasting all the rest of its wines.
