Hannah and Ash make everyone feel so welcome in their little bit of heaven. Great place for a quiet drink. They also have some great live bands.

tatlisu itself is an amazing place, very relaxing and chilled... there is a picnic area as well as a restaurant near the bar and bungalows not more than 10. veeery cute. Even in winter with cyprus weather usually over 20 degrees you can still walk the beach barefoot up and down and watch the great sunset!

If you are planning a visit to Northern Cyprus you must visit Roots. We have always been made to feel welcome here. Hannah and Ash are excellent hosts. We now live in Northen Cyprus but always bring our family and friends her and everyone loves it!

Been a couple of times or more, always made to feel welcome by the young great owners, always had a good night live music or not we are in our 60's so that speaks volumes. Looking forward to our next visit when on holiday again next year

I love this place ! The owners are friendly and super cool. The atmosphere is relaxed and the range of music and live acts is fab for such a small venue. It can get busy as it's the place to be. Team this up with visit to the Coconut bar where you can get some Carriebean food to die for and you have a great night out.

We have stayed locally for our annual holiday for two years now, and each time Roots Bar has been our first stop. Hannah, Ash and their staff have always made us feel most welcome. We love relaxing in the open air armchairs, and the live music always provides an excellent evening's entertainment. Definitely the best bar in the local area.

A reggae bar in the middle of nowhere in North Cyprus? Might sound a bit odd, but it works perfectly thanks to Hannah and Ash and the many regulars who make you feel most welcome. Always great bands and a great outdoor bar in the summer. What makes Roots so special is that it is frequented by everyone - locals, expats and holidaymakers from many different countries. It is always my first stop when I arrive in North Cyprus and I suggest you make it yours also.

Not the biggest fan of North Cyprus but this place was a really plus of the trip. Really good bar with friendly staff. Lots going on in the evenings and just has a great atmosphere to it. If I return to North Cyprus I'll certainly return here!

We love Roots, great for me and the hubby for a night out as Ashley and Hannah are fab people and always take the time to have a chat and a laugh. I love the people that go in there too such fun.Our kids love it there and play pool all night too.Fab that we can have a takeaway delivered there too for when a quick drink turns into a LONG drink.Roll on July

I come to Cyprus every year and this is my local while I am here. There is always a great atmosphere. Everyone that goes in there is incredibly friendly. I cant wait to come back.

This is an absolute gem of a place. Great hosts (Hannah and Ash) and fabulous clients, all of whom make you feel included and welcome. The bar itself is so unusual, in the summer it is outside and in the winter it is warm and toasty inside. It is a centre of activities with fantastic events organised including, rambling, water aerobics with noodles <lol>, bridge, craft fairs and many others. Building community capacity and community cohesion is a key driver of this bar which is rather unusual and very worthy. Locals benefit from sponsored activities and there is a real purpose and drive to mobilise and improve the lives of locals and indeed all. The actual setting of the bar is amazing. Right on the coast overlooking the sea. There is a real buzz about the place with people constantly wanting to take on new challenges and activities. The place to be !

With a great welcome and a fab atmosphere Hannah and Ash have created something really special at Roots Bar. Along with the various activities throughout the year and good music nights it really is one not to miss.Down the old coast road at Kucuk Erenkoy with a lovely view for those sundowners on a summers evening but all year you will always be welcome with the lovely cosy fires in the winter.
