Bodrum真正意义上的名胜古迹不多，这个圣彼得古堡绝对值得花时间好好参观。这座古堡占地面积非常大，敦实的城墙屹立千年不倒，被称为欧洲第一强堡。现在古堡那有多个展厅，内容涵盖从公元前四五世纪到奥特曼时期当地的考古成果，其中几只在附近海域打捞上来的古船尤为壮观。古堡三面朝海，每天不同时段四面景观各不相同，是整个地区最好的观景点。古堡里的花园也非常漂亮，还豢养几只孔雀，午后在这里喝咖啡也非常惬意。二十五里拉的门票绝对值得。

Beautiful castle with wonderful sea view, amazing historical treasures. It's a big Castle and takes a while to walk and see around.

Excellent audio guide that concentrated on the wonderful underwater archeology museum. However I would liked to have had more of the history given the linkage to Halikarnassos, Rhodes, the Knights of Saint John etc.

Not my typical day out but really enjoyed this place, so much to see and do and reasonably priced, very warm walking about so take plenty of water with you

I reached the castle by taxi boat from the hotel I was staying at, at bardakci bay overlooking the sea and the castle.U need a ticket for entrance and once in, it is easy to wander by yourself. There are signs for direction and at every place/ monument there's an information bar to help u know more.it is well maintained, the view from the top is quite interesting. There are lots of places where you can have a rest. There are also souvenir shops.It is surely a recommended attraction in bodrum.

If I remember right it's closed on Monday's, so check before you go. Costs about 25 turkish lira (£7.00) the castle is in great condition and there is a lot to see, so give yourself some time to enjoy it. Even if the museums aren't your thing the views from the caslte walls are fantastic. There is a cafe on site and more than one set of toilets. The castle doesn't close for lunch but the museums do, so if you time it wrong you will be able to walk round the grounds but won't get access to the buildings. Enjoy!

Visit the castle to see the mixture of all different cultures owning this area. Christians, Muslims leaving their signs is incredible.

Went in the castle just as it stared to rain. There are plenty of rooms to explore but make sure you don't go when its the attendants dinner hour as they are all shut and we had to hang around till they opened up again. The views are stunning from the castle and well worth a visit.

If you love history you will love this unique castle that has been nicely restored. You have access to almost all parts of the castle and they often times have events such as concerts which is really nice.

besides great historical atmospher, the castle is the best place to watch several yacht races in Bodrum.

Historic,sunny, beautiful place to visit. plenty of hot sunshine, nightlife and friendly bars, wonderful sunsets, easy access to beach and boat trips, laid back experience and tasty nibbles to try before main meales.

Loved visiting the castle and shipwreck museum! We spent over 2 hours exploring all the towers and exhibits. Great combination of historic architecture and artifacts. Beautiful views of the marina. There are peacocks. In January they are closed from 12-1 for lunch.

This castle is magnificent! Visited it in June 2012. There are so many interesting things to see, of cause if you are interested in history. During the first visit I did not manage to see everything there, so I went there again after few days.

The Castle is a fabulous site for all ages as it is historical and educational, since the Underwater Museum of Archaeology is also located within the Castle walls. The castle itself is fun to explore with great views of Bodrum and the museum exhibits are very well executed and interesting. You can easily spend 3 hours here, but there is no food or drink sold within the Castle walls. Immediately inside the ticket booth there are shops and food available.
