The owners of the shop Yakup and Naoe are wonderful people who do a great job of making the customer feel welcome and also stocking textil goods that in all of our trips to Turkey have never been able to find. clothing, texstil goods and peştemal (waist wrap for a turkish bath of beach) made from bamboo and poplar bark are soft and very durable. We miss them very much and can hardly wait to see them again.

This is beautifully presented store to purchase well priced, quality hand made textiles. Naoe is very helpful and knowledgable about her products. We enjoyed her company and the Japan meets Turkey feel.

This small, special shop is located in the covered bazaar, about half way in. The owner who is Japanese by the way (yes it is a small world) has a fine selection of hand and machine woven textiles...very well chosen (and easy to take with you as you move to your next stop). She will take time to explain the materials and the techniques used. No pressure. The quality of her selection sells itself. And then there is the excellent origami which she gives as part of her superb packaging. Well worth a visit.

We came across this little shop by chance and were drawn to it by its attractive and tasteful display. Sen Naoe is a charming Japanese lady, who welcomed us in with a glass of tea and showed us a range of beautiful high quality textiles, priced very attractively. None of the high-pressure selling one often finds in Turkish tourism centres. Our visit remains in our memory as one of those special experiences during a three week tour of western Turkey. Highly recommended.

What a delightful shop. I decided to pop in here after seeing the wonderfully glowing reviews on trip adviser and I was not disappointed. The owner has carefully selected her products do you can be sure of quality. While you might find towels cheaper elsewhere you wouldn't be 100% of what they were made of or the quality. Thank you Naoe & Yakup for your hospitality as we stocked up on towels and scarves. The complimentary paper cranes made by Naoe were a lovely touch too. I'm looking forward to trying out my Turkish towel!

Like the last reviewer, my friends and I found this delightful shop by accident (tucked away in a covered market just off the main street in Old Bergama. Whatever else you do in Bergama - visit this shop. Tiny, but full of elegantly presented, fine quality Turkish woven goods: gorgeous hammam towels that in London would sell for three times the charge here, really lovely scarves and shawls in amazing colours. We all left the shop happy with our purchases and delighted with the knowledge imparted by Naoe, the most graceful owner of this shop.

We stumbled across this unique shop in a small bazaar in Bergama. The owner is a very sweet Japanese lady married to a Turkish national. The shop is small but has superb quality fine woven scarves, hamami towels in cotton and bamboo, bath robes, small carpets, men's ties, tablecloths and other treasures. I considered the prices more than reasonable and the welcome with apple tea and conversation very welcome.

We met the owner's husband at the Acropolis, where he works as a guide. He advised us to stop at his wife's shop in the center of town. Naoe is from Japan, and she welcomed us with tea and showed us her store: towels, bathrobes, scarves, and assorted textiles, all of very fine quality. If you are in Bergama, and want to buy textiles, this is the place to do it! Good luck to her!

Pezzi unici e a prezzo modico.
