Excellent small museum with a really good attitude towards children and something for every one (groovy stuffed animals!).Special mention for the mens' first (=2nd) floor loo, a summum of civilization which immediately made it into my Pantheon: lots of space and high ceiling, great view through the magnificent wooden windows onto the bridge and old town beyond, observation platform, impeccable cleanliness, calm and serenity. Yessss!

But if you have time to visit, the staff was very friendly and ready to explain and there are interesting rooms to see.

Located next to the Belvarosi hid, it stands huge and beautiful! The exibitions were closed (we were there mid January), so we just admired the architecture!

The museum is in a beautiful building in the middle of a very nice park right by the Tisza river. Inside there are great permanent exhibitions but right now there is a cave-man exposition that is really funny and interactive. You can even make photos sitting in Fred Flintstone`s car.They close at 18.00, so it's recommended to visit right after lunch or in the morning. You can easily spend a couple of hours there.

However, after a few days and several attempts, I succeeded, even enjoying a meal, seductive and full of challenges... I ate fish soup with chunks of catfish; I drank wine with soda, Hungarians say. While the Tisza flowed city that hums coming from power.The culinary stays on barges were an opportunity to remind you that the Szeged is known as the home of paprika, a spice made from dried, powdered capsicum fruits. One day we devoted considerable touring and scientifically significant Ferenc Mora Museum. It is an impressive building in the old part of Szeged. 1896 was made to the new, still used in neo-classical style building, Antal Steinhardt and Adolf Lang's plans. And as we approach the palaceimposes upon us an amazing likeness of the object with the White House in Washington. That congruence goes in the series, we are sure that we read the address of the museum. When man immersion in the complexcircuitry of the museum, it becomes clear why it is so important in Hungary. There are no departments of archeology, nature, folk tradition, numismatics, fine arts, theater ... All very functional, meticulously thought out and presented quite modern.When we left the museum at dusk, Szeged already glowing in the nighttime lighting, and we had a full head of Hungarian history and culture. By the way, we learned that the Ferenc Mora, a famous Hungarian writer by education historian and geographer. He was born into the surrounding Szeged, where he died 1834th

Museum has perfect spot in the city, near Belvarosi Hid and Tisa river. Infront of museum is beautiful park. Beutiful architecture, a lot to see and learn.

This small art museum is not comprehensive by any stretch of my imagination.Yet,it has fine late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century paintings by leading Hungarian Masters.Painters such as;Istvan Csok,Laszlo Mednyandzky,and Josef Kostka are especially well-represented..When I visited a few days ago,there was a fine retrospective of Imre Nagy's paintings.I al;so liked their one Italian painting by Pinturriccio("Virgin Crowned by Angels").
