The Kunstmuseum really does stand out in the centre of Vaduz so we thought we'd go in. It's no Tate modern, however it does contain some fantastic exhibitions and pieces. It's very quiet and you have time to walk around undisturbed. A very nice place to visit if you're in Vaduz!

As I read some of reviews, and as I remember because I have more than 10 years ago being in Vaduz, I valuate as proper the tittle Worth a look if you love contemporary art

Firstly I must say I liked the building, but I was less enamered by its content. Maybe I am being a little hard but when compared to the Tate modern it did not begin to compare in any context. Still others may think differently, so if its your bag give it a go.

Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein was an unexptected find. We saw a very interesting exhibition where photography meet statues (can't remember the exact name). As there are few tourists in Vaduz you get to really spend your time and watch the pieces undisturbed. The staff is also very helpful and it can be well worth your time to chat with them to find out more.

The collection is solely modern art - mostly sculptures, film and photography. While I was there there appeared to be two special exhibits - one about lens based art, and another sort of performance art space with various rooms set up.They had some interesting pieces and it is worth going if you are an art fan - but for casual museum goers (or more traditionalists) - they may not find this one worthwhile.

We saw a photo exhibit which was wonderful. The café had lovely food offerings and plenty of seating. Very spacious. Don't miss it.

I thought this museum was well thought out and a very nice architecture for modern art. It's not huge, but the inside spaces are quite large. I think some people might have missed the whole upstairs, which contains both a permanent collection and an area for seasonally changing displays. There was an Andre Thomkins exhibit up top that was very impressive and runs thru September - it spanned his whole career from painting to interactive and wordplay-based art, must have been around 300 of his works in one space. There's a large lounge/restaurant and bookstore space downstairs which we didn't try (other than buying a couple versions of Thomkins' wordplay magnets...)

Contemporary art in a very interesting architectural setting. We were there 13 years ago, and even though we are not too keen on contemporary art, we felt it was worth the time, effort, cost to take the bus in to Vaduz to experience this museum. Make it a full day and visit the Postal Museum and Landesmuseum, too!

Big spaces fill out with modern art. I visited the Museum when they had the Dont Smile exhibition. The staff were extremelly helpful, as I do not speak German, they provided me with an English written information about the exhibition. It is big on size but quite small in terms of content. Then you can enjoyed some Sushi or browse for some souvenirs. It is worthy to give a visit as it is right at the center of Vaduz.

Who would think that you could find a Sushi place inside the Museum of Art of Liechtenstein? I had a few times sushi for lunch there, and once at night. Honnestly, avoid going there at night. You would feel very lonely inside this huge space.Sushi are not bad at lunch, but having had sushis in other countries, this is not our favourite, even if the restaurant is spacious, clean and quiet. So far, my best sushis-for-foreigners were served in South Africa at the Waterkant.

The Liechtenstein Kunstmuseum (Liechtenstein Museum of Fine Arts) has regularly changing exhibits, mostly displaying modern art and modern art installations. There is also a permanent exhibit of the Prince's own collection, but it is only a very modest part of his large collection. Don't expect to see cultural or traditional items in this museum. You will have to go across the street to the Landesmuseum. The Kunstmuseum is to display art and not reflect the traditional history of this small country. The Kunstmuseum in itself is very interesting from an architectural point of view. It is a “black box” of tinted concrete and black basalt stone.

I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit concerning architecture and envirnonmental furniture. I toured the Kunstmuseum for approximately one hour. I'm glad I visited Kunstmuseum, but I was much more impressed by the Landesmuseum of Vaduz where I spent around two hours.

The museum was a disappointment. The Prince of Liechtenstein has a large collection of old art, but this collection is situated in Vienna. In this museum they have only some modern art pieces and they had only 2 rooms open.

The building is fantastic and service friendly and professional, but that's about it! We are not modern art lovers but can appreciate good art. The modern "art" exhibits on display were ridiculous and laughable. Even if you are a modern lover, there is no way that you would find this of value of any kind... a complete waste of time!

A very well appointed gallery, with ever changing exhibits, all labelled in english and german.
