This is a surprise that happens when one keeps driving! Take the little road off Road 54 in Snaefellsnes Peninsula that goes to the Gerduberg basalt columns. In about 3/4miles, you'll go pass the long, tall wall of vertical basalt columns - which is the big attraction on this side trip. Keep driving and there is this beauiful tiny church with a small graveyard. The setting is beautiful.It is a dirt road so save this for a nice day.
