It is the great place for the start the discovery of the museum world with the kids: the main collection is made so that even for the youngest it would be simple and interesting to discover ancient Rome, Egypt. Besides new exibitions follow each three month so for me it is exciting to return here every once in a while.

Don't be discourage by the long lines. No matter how cold it is, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, will warm your heart and keep it warm for very long time. It is one of the most notable museums of the world. Part of the treasure which Schliemann stole from Troy, and then Soviets stole from Berlin in WW2, is on Pushkin Museum. The plaster copies of great sculptures, are fine for the are students where they see them all together and excersise their sketch skills. Ticket is 400r per adult, and free for children up to 18 years old.

My wife and I have been fortunate to see some fabulous displays of Post-Impressionist Art, and this is one of the best collections in the world.Degas, Gaugin, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Matisse and Picasso are just some of the more renowned artists on display.Another exciting thing is that you can get very close to the artwork to examine the nuances of brushwork and layering. You can't get so close in many galleries.Absolutely loved it!

Be ready for lines if you plan to visit the main building which is opposite Christ the Saviour Cathedral. We came the see the Titian collection but had to endure a couple of hours in a windy spring weather waiting in a line. The Impressionists are ina different building though.

I have not visited this place since 80th. I was surprised that the museum has been divided to three separate expositions. So I have visited just one of them. Pro: the antique art is more exhibited. Con: the Perl of this museum - French Impressionism exhibition is placed in another building. Thus to see all museum funds you should pay three times but it cost so.

I lived in Moscow when I was a little with my father and my mother. I spend there 7 great years and I really love it!

This is the right place to see Schliemann's discoveries from Troy, several Rembrandts, some of Gauguin's best-loved Tahitian paintings, and works by Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso and Cézanne.

This museum is good for an art lover in Moscow, but doesn't rank with the museums in Paris, London or New York. A good place to spend a day, if you're in Moscow, but not worth a special trip.

The museum located in a central location near a metro station. The entrance fee isn't high and also they give a discount for students etc.On my visit they had a really nice collection of Flemish art, so for me it was very interesting. The building is beautiful from the outside and also the collections that been presented organized in a comfortable way, so you don't lose interest. My suggestion, check the schedule on the museum web site, then you will know for sure what is presented in the time of your visit.
