If you dont know much about Ukrainian culture, this is a good place to start, especially that Ivano-Frankisvk is a marvelous little city of western Ukraine

I love theatre and I've seen quite a few plays abroad and in Ukraine, and I can proudly recommend Ivano-Frankivsk Drama and Music Theatre even to the most picky ones. There is a vast variety of plays to choose from but bear in mind all of them are in Ukrainian. However, I once took my Chinese friend to see a play and though she dosn't speak Ukrainian she enjoyed it very much.

People working at Ivano-Frankivsk theatre are very professional and very popular in Ukraine and abroad. At this theatre you can be the first spectators of all their new works.

Внутри не был. На представлении не был. Но выглядит убого. Совок совок. Или я ошибаюсь? Есть гораздо интересные здания в Ивано–Франковске

Красивый театр сооруженный в гуцульском стиле. В настоящее время капитально ремонтируется. Труппа театра ставит неплохие спектакли, да и театры из Львова, Киева тут бывают. Эстрада также прелдставлена- Леонтьев, Лорак, Витас, Меладзе и т. д.киева

Посетить стоит если идет интересный спектакль или когда хорошая труппа на гастролях. Но скоро должна быть реконструкция.
