This is an amazing place. A vast and luscious park with breath-taking sea views, with a mind blowing variety of trees, plants and flowers from around the world. Imagine Kew Gardens by the sea and then surround it with wild and beautiful natural environs and you come close to imagining this place. Trees of Biblical origins transport you into the past, and the aromas confound the senses.

The only place in the world so there is a special combination of a variety of unique plants and wildlife artists who combined the beauty of botanicals pictures of their fantasies. Dbirm not see anywhere else in the world.

There's always something blooming there, birds singing, great place for drawing or meditating, if you step off the main tourist route. Butterfly attraction is OK, bonsai - so-so, but the cacti greenhouse is fabulous - to visit it you have to go out through the lower gate and descend a bit.And it gives you the reason to go near the sea - once you past the construction site, there is a small deserted beach with fishermans.

Very good place for walking around and enjoying time with your family among mediterranian collection of flowers and trees.

Amazing gem in Yalta .When we were there it was beautiful ,full of flowers and the views over Yalta were spectacular. The butterfly house was fantastic and seeing plants from all around the Ukraine and the world .would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Yalta.

The Nikita Botanical Gardens are well maintained and with a pleasant blend of trees, flowers and shrubbery. Also a Orchid, Cactus and Butterfly section at additional cost. Paths can be steep and not many benches. Serviced by local marshrutkas ( buses ) from Yalta bus station, but the main bus or trolley between Yalta and Alushta will only drop you off at bus stop on on main highway. From there it is couple kilometer walk to gardens ticket office.After visiting the gardens you can walk down a steep path to sea where there is short section of beach with a couple bars and restaurants. Nice place to cool off with dip in sea after walking gardens. It can get quite hot.If you prefer more modern, and what I believe if better maintained gardens, visit the park Парк Айвазовского in Partenit not much further towards Alushta.

The gardens are beautiful and have many rare finds, however aimed at the locals as there are too many exotic species in the garden. Views are amazing and it was a very enjoyable visit.

Very nice gardens that are well maintained. Cost is 25 grivnas per personhowever if you wish to see the orchid building, maze etc you will need to pay another 25 grivnas per person again and again. About $3 US per person when I went. So after all - cost me about $10 per person.Pleasant morning but parked at the top and worked our way down and had to walk back up at the end.I would do this again, go in the morning when it is cool and enjoy

This is a very nice place to stroll around for a morning or afternoon. However, many of the sections advertised on fliers and the map you will have to pay to enter. We thought we would try out the maze and it cost an extra 20--just like the butterflies and cacti sections (we didn't check all the prices but they were extra). I found this disappointing because they did not list there was an extra charge on the map of the gardens at the entrance. It appeared as if everything was for free. Just being aware of this will help you to choose what you would like to spend time on. There's enough to see that you can happily pass a day both with or without going to see the extras. When we went, the tulips were just out and they were beautifully organized. I would like to return again in the future to see even more plants in bloom. It is a very lovely park. Very well shaded so it is comfortable in the summers when the heat can be immense. Loved buying bathing salts and oils made naturally in the area. They, as well as, seeds or plants are sold everywhere.Students: Student IDs (even international) may get you discounted entrance tickets.

Even if you are not really interested in plants you will surely enjoy the visit to these wonderful gardens, especially in summer when you can hide from heat in the shadow of magnificent trees beside one of numerous pools or fountains. The collection of plants is very rich and represents different areas of the world. All the plants have nameplates with basic info. There are several bars on the territory of the park and after the visit you can go down to the sea (15-minute walk) and stay on the beach if you feel like it.

You can walk through the garden alone, but there is also a guide service. Must additionally pay for a ticket and wait for the group.Garden really very beautiful, a lot of plants, endemic and imported. Also in the garden there are additional exhibition and greenhouses. Greenhouse with cactus, which collected specimens from around the world.Here is supported a special microclimate and long is difficult. But thanks to this cactus grew huge size.At territory of the garden, I found the exhibition of tropical butterflies. In the aviary is also supported special climate: there is very humid and stuffy, long time to stand there very difficult. Butterflies there is not very much, but they are cute and you can put them on your shoulder.Nikitsky Botanical Garden - is also huge research and scientific center of the Crimea. What the tourists see - only a small part, in fact, the garden is much more. Of raw materials grown here produce and sell their products: teas, essential oils and natural cosmetics that can be purchased.If you are going to visit the garden, you should plan the event for the day, because it is very large. You can even take a swimsuit and go down to the sea, a dip after a tiring walk sun.It is a great place!!!

I found this to be an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon. Many varieties of plant life can be found, all flourishing and beautiful. A great way to appreciate the unique climate of the area - the only place in the former USSR with palm trees! Visited Spring 2008.

A very big and beautiful botanical garden with rich history. Every autumn you can visit a chrysantemum ball there which is quite a popular tourist attraction due to a very rich collection of flowers.

Сад прекрасный, очень много пышной зелени, территория огромная , гулять по ней не скучно. Есть зеленый лабиринт.
