Book the wine tour and then have a leisurely lunch. The place is worth it, one of the best meals we had in Argentina. The art gallery is a bonus and well worth a visit!

We did not enjoy the tour at this winery at all. It could be that we were unlucky as we were part of a big group (25 people), the guide was reciting a pre-rehearsed speech in bad English and we were moved at a fast speed from one room to another like cattle! The buildings reminded us more of Mussolini times than Argentina wine country. The wine tasting was in a room that had 6 chairs (for the 25 of us!) and was way too small for the group. We got cheap and not very good wines with one single glass for all three: one white and two reds. The highlight at this winery was the tour we asked for at the Kilka Museum: the guide of the meusem was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour.

Dear MayaThank you about your comments, they help us to offer a better service.Winery is open for both, children and adults. The idea is that kids, as well as adults, enjoy and learn about grapes and wine process. It's a pitty that you cannot have an english tour because of the group. We hope you can give us the possibility to come back again and having a private tour at our winery so you can enjoy great wines with an english explanation.Kind regards

Dear CharlotteThank you about your comments. Salentein is one of the ten biggest wineries in Mendoza. We are producing around 16 millions litters in a year. When the owners arrived to Uco Valley, it was a complete desert. Because of the effort of human people and the vision of the owners, it's possible for us to show you the wine bussiness that you can see nowadays. We hope you can visit us again and having a special tour with a tasting including our Top wines that, for sure, are going to impress you.Kind regards

Dear madamThank you about your comments, help us to improve our tours.I would like to explain that Salentein is one of the biggest winery in Argentina. Because of human effort and the vision of the owners, we are able to show you that Salentein can grow up from a complete desert. Where we make our tours, that takes 1 hs and 30 minutes maximum, you are able to see just a small sample of our vineyards. We have in total 2000 hectares divided on 3 states, going from 1050 meters above the sea level, up to 1700 meters. Also, the owners like to protect natural flora and fauna. Because of that, we have around the buildings a Natural Reservation of 50 hectars with native vegetation and animals. About tasting rooms, we are looking for an informal way to show everybody how to make a tasting. We are offering groupal tours, as well as private tours, where you can have a technical tasting with our top wines.I hope you find this information useful and we would like that give us the possibility to come again and having a completely new experience at Salentein Winery.Kind regards

Terrible tour, starting with a commercial video that adds nothing. Screaming and running kids everywhere. Is this a theme park or a winery? The guide knew very little about wine, was probably selling shoes last year and then found a job as a scripted guide. When someone asked a question about taste or tannines the standard answer was "it depends on your palate".We tasted 3 very basic wines, which the guide said were reserve but then I guess they must have mislabeled the bottles (not).Worst of all, I wanted to try the high end wines (in particular Primus Malbec) but this wine was unavailable for purchase at the wine store, wine bar, restaurant, and even the posada restaurant. (While still featuring on the wine lists of each of these places). Really Salentein? This is not exactly a boutique winery with minimal production! Very disappointing. Guess someone with hard currency had purchased the stock and the lure of immediate money was too tempting, at the expense of the people that make an effort to come and visit you.
