For me it is a n amazing experience, because you can touch the animal like a tiger, lion etc. This zoo is no so big like other famous zoo, but is so different because you can into the cage and touch dangerous animals. The structure is simple but enough. The poorest part regarding to structure is the restaurant. The foods are expensive and there is no so much options. One good option is choripan. It is a little far from Buenos Aires. In my opinion if you are in Buenos Aires you must go there.

I can not understand how anybody can refer to this as an "amazing experience". I do not understand how this can be legal... No wild animal would tolerate the presence of various humans in such a stressful environment, they must be doped with the most disgusting substances. shame on those who support this disgusting treatment of beautiful, wild and endangered creatures!!!!

I visited lujan zoo and was absolutely disgusted in the conditions I found the animals in. Each big cat was found with 4 other big cats unconscious around it, on a concrete floor with mattered fur. There was one lion unconscious lion passed out on a picnic table. When someone arrived for a photo, water was thrown on the clearly drugged lions face and meat was dangled in front of the clearly incapacitated lion to arouse it's drugged, foggy and afraid eyes. I continued to pat a 3 month old, unconscious, tiger cub, while his mother was in a cage 10 meters away, roaring for the life of her cub being man handled by disgusting zoo keepers. If you do not enjoy animal torture, you will not enjoy a visit to lujan zoo.

I can not believe people go and then say 'it's a unique experience'... I am really shocked!!Don't you understand animals are drugged to allow unconscious people to touch wild animal, put a cap on their heads or bottle feeding !? I saw kids in the same cage with lions?! People, are you mad??Also they are locked in small cages malnourished and sad , absurd on 2014 are still places like this. Shame on those who goes and especially take their children to see this aberrant 'show', non educational at all. Then a prevedible accident happens and the animal is killed.Shame on you!

Why hasn't this zoo been shut down ? No protesting ? No petitions? This zoo is a disgrace to animals. . This is a prime example of why humans have ruined this entire planet . Those animals need out of there and they need out now ! Someone step up and do something about this !!!

This "zoo" drugs their animals in order to attract guests. They constantly drug and chain their animals. These animals get emotional problems, such as depression or anxiety. The tight chains are very painful for them and being constantly drugged is bad for their health! Use your brains, this place ought to be shut down. This is the worst place to see animals, they have no dignity and are subject to cruelty. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GO!!!!

Although it's an amazing experience to pet a lion, tiger and bear, I think it's the most awful "zoo" (if I can call it like that) ever existed. Since I got there and saw the poor animals, I realized something was happening in there. It seems like this animals are drugged or sedated, because of what I've heard, they don't let people to come closer to them, not even the most "tamed" lion would (or tigers or bears). The thing that they're raised with dogs to learn "boundaries" won't actually work. It's just a matter of time until someone gets hurt, and who will be the one to blame? The animal, as always. I say no one should ever visit this zoo anymore. This cruelty has to stop.

I have heard about this place but despite having visited Argentina many times only now got to know, and I have a great experience. This zoo is located 65 km from the capital Buenos AIres, but the road is very good. I was lucky cause the weather was overcast and the zoo bit empty so I didn't wait too long to get into attractions (LIons, tigers, puppys, and elephants)

The kids love it. The visually impaired too. After all, it's an unique opportunity to touch wild mammals such as lions, tigers and others. But the sight of the animals is not that comfortable as they don't seem normal. I'd prefer to see them at a distance in their own natural habitat. So, if you're an animal activist I highly recommend you not to go.

This was by far the most interactive zoo experience we ever had. I was a little apprehensive getting in the cages with the lions at first but it was really beyond surreal. The baby lion cubs were a lot of fun to interact with. The tigers were a little scary especially since the one I got to pet was chewing on a 50 gallon drum as his toy. All the workers at the zoo were very professional and all of the animals appeared to be well treated. We even go to interact with a camel and an Elephant too. Would definitely visit again.

It was an amazing experience that I went into a bit naive. The animals are clearly drugged, especially the lions. However, they are taken care of and it was still terrifying to get to get in the cages with them to pet or feed them. You should just know what you are getting into. I definitely would have thought twice about going if I had realized the animals were going to be doped up. That said it was really neat to have a tiger drinking milk from my hands and a grizzly bear taking food from my fingers with his mouth. You really can't get an experience like that elsewhere. Also, I went in 2012, not 2014, I could not change the date.

This was top of my list of places to go and experience whilst in Buenos Aires. I signed up to go with a tour operator, it wasn't cheap but I was desperate to go!!And I can honestly say, it was worth every penny, the experience of saying you have been in a cage with lions and tigers, touched and fed them (I got very lucky to feed both) was absolutely thrilling!!! Totally amazing!!!You simply must visit this zoo and experience the most dangerous zoo in the world..its the best thing I have ever done!! I still can't believe I was in a cage with these animals!!! :)

The best Zoo I ever met in my life!!! You can touch the animals even the tigers and lions!!! It's amazing!!! It's very close to Buenos Aires. Take your own car and come early.

Despite all the discussions about this place, I will never forget the experience of holding a baby lion or fed a tiger. It was an amazing afternoon that I'll keep forever with memories and great pictures.Just don't take your kids (less than 16 y/o) there as they are not allowed to enter the cages, they might be really frustrated.
