Beautiful location but very crowded. Especially for sunset on the weekends. Getting smaller very quickly as well.

Walk to duna por du sol to apreciate the sunset everyday in Jeri. A little windy but it´s worth it. Takes aprox. 10 minutes to get to the top.

Perfect sunset! At 5pm you start to see a lot of people going towards the dune. It gets filled with people trying to get the moment where the Sun hits the ocean! Simply amazing!!

It is free and very beautiful. These are one of that places nature gifted us. The sunset is absolutely beautiful up there. To climb can be easier than you think when you see it from far.

dirty, hotels catered for foreigners, argentineans, italians and such too expensive. I do recomend Sony, on the main street and her superb caipirinhas! Worth trying!

The main natural wonder of Jericoacoara. Despite many (i mean MANY!) guys trying to sell you trips to other places (like Tatajuba, Passeio do Cavalo Marinho, Lagoa Azul, Árvore da Preguiça, ...), this one is arguably the best - and free! Sunset is very, very beautiful. It looks more difficult to climb than it actually is, so you should go there every single sunset you can. Awesome view.(Pedra Furada and Lagoa do Paraíso are nice too, but ALL the other places are a waste of time - don't even bother loosing precious hours in Jericoacoara to go to those "tourist attractions".)

I stayed 3 days in Jeri, and in three days I went to the dune. very romantic, and for the adventurous there is also the option of doing the sandboarding

Great view, spectacular scene, the sand being blown around can sting a little though, make sure you slide down the dune afterwards!!

I love sunsets!!! This was really amazing. You don't have to climb the dune to have a good view of sunset; it makes you feel it in a different way though. Every day dozens of people climb the dune just to watch sunset, some even clap it! Really nice!

Join the hundreds of other visitors who hike to the top of this dune every day to watch the sun set. A memorable experience.

You have to see the sunset from there. Be prepared for very strong winds ans sand flying towards you covering all parts of your body. Clap and cheer for the sun

If you are in Jeri, it is mandatory to see the sunset everyday from the top of the dune. The view is so amazing that it is never enough to see 1 day. I was in Jeri 10 days and everyday, when coming back from a sightseeing or from the beach, i was going up the dune. Even though some days i was so tired, could not miss it.. it becomes part of the Jeri culture and lifestyle.
