Pipa is one of the most amazing beaches near to Natal. There are at least 11 beaches for visiting. Each one better than the other.

It is a must see, definitely! But as every one knows that, it is very crowded, specially in summer. It is great early mornings or around 4 pm, when there are not many people. The scenery is magnificent, you can see fishes and other sea animals really close to the beach and it is really breathtaking. On the other hand, there are way too many people and restrooms are not allowed at the beach, so owners of houses close to it rent their washrooms for public use. The food is quite expensive compared to other places we have been in Rio Grande do Norte and it is not really worth it.

One of the best we have been to here. Lot's of infrastructure for food etc. Dolphins came by a couple times. a good beach if you like bigger waves...access is a bit difficult but totally worth it.

It's a very small town, although they do have a health clinic just in case. It takes too long to get there. When you arrive, the city is inundated with tourists. They even try to scam you by asking you to pay on a PUBLIC street. They get in your face asking you if you want to do some kind of dive with dolphins. They beach is covered in rocks (don't think about running whatsoever) and there are no public bathrooms. You have to pay 2 reais even if you simply want to change. I can see why this placed USED TO BE great, but today it's a tourist trap/over played.

This is amazing! I have been to Pipa twice and have loved baia dos gofinhos both times. Once arriving at downtown Pipa walk down towards the beach and then go left for about 10-15 minutes on foot. If the tide is high be careful as you will have to go through many rocks which can be slippery and dangerous. Once crossing those rocks you will find yourself at the baia dos gofinhos. Don't go on the boat ride, rent a kayak or stand up paddle instead at Pipa Surf school and go out to the sea up until the yellow buoys and prepare to have an amazing experimenter of seeing lovely dolphins swish right by your side. It's simply perfection!

If headed to Natal, make time for at least a few days in Pipa. This quaint little fishing town is gorgeous - everything you would expect form a coastal Brazilian town. The atmosphere is laid back and the locals are nice.

Around 1.5hs from Natal, it is a very nice beach with plenty of activities and an amazing landscape with cliffs and sea. All around the beach there are a lot of options of restaurants where you can have excellent seafood and regional dishes.

I spent a weekend in Pipa and the only bad thing was I wanted to stay longer! The beach is beautiful and swim with the Dolphins without having to pay for it, it was wordless. The night life it's also great! Lots of parties going on in the town not to mention the acai bowls everywhere. Gotta love it!

This is a wonderful beach close to Natal. Water and sight viewing is really nice. The problem is that there is no good infrastructure. Parking is a nightmare and the restaurants are overcrawd and the staff can rarely give you a meat service. You can have fun and good drinks if you don't care to wait a lot.

Very good place to travel with family. Has good hotel and restaurants. The price is little high to brazil but if you take a look around will found the good places. Very beautiful place to know.

Probably the best beach close to Natal. The water was tranquile, beach not crowded and lots of space to walk. Had a really pleasant time. Spent the day at O Aventureiro Restaurant which was very good and provided infrastructure for the beach. Also took a 1.5hr boat trip no the Mar Azul boat. It was safe and lots of fun. Was able to see many dolphins and also to swim in the sea. Quite a bit of people got sea sick but ride is still great for kids.

Located in Northeastern Brazil, about 50 miles distance from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte state capital, Pipa is a gorgeous beach place where people from all over the world join together its spectacles. The place congregates a diversified landscape, from the white sand beaches to the preserved evergreen of the Atlantica forest, the astonishing cliffs, and the cutie little town with a diversity of restaurants, elegant stores and useful local service, Pipa is like a paradise! To walk around the place in any season of the year you will need a pair of flip-flops (the most famous Brazilian brands sold in town), sunblock, swimming, surf, kite-surf, scuba dive and/or hiking stuff or just a ocean view room with a hammock! It's your choice! I choose to stay at the Luz da Lua Pousada (Bed&Breakfast) and I truly recommend the place. It's like being at home, or at your beach house, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast has local fresh fruits and juices. That was my third trip to Pipa! I will go back as many times as I possibly will, for sure!

Pipa is an amazing place to stay a few days relaxing and walking around the beaches, or even enjoying the little city center at night (which I believe can be really crowded at the high season). All the bay is surrounded by beautiful cliffs with a nice sightseeing from the top, the beaches are a walking distance from each other, all of them are clean and the Dolphins Bay is such a great surprise :) Once there pay attention to the tide tables, even though you just want to walk by the coast. Some beaches get inaccessible at a certain hour of day, so it's important to always check if you are planning your day according to the low tide.
