The Pueblo the Buenas Vista when you arrive is very charming and the people are very welcoming, The View from the Terrazas is amazing, makes the name buena vista. We took the tour on the hacienda, It requires previous appontment and is not very easy. But its offer it. They has a expensive tour for colombian standards but excellent in very way. there have both in spanish and English, during our visit the english speaking guide was on vacation. but the spanish is very well spoken and the guide very amable and caring. I didn't leave with a single doubt. The coffee taste great and besisdes the tour on the hacienda showing the process to produce coffee in all its stages there is a tasting class, a great expecinceWorth a lot.

Francino gave us 4 a delightfully elaborate coffee ceremony on the terrace of this first class cafe high above the Quindio valley. The tour was a lovely hike between hibiscus lined terraced coffee fields. Nothing was in operation this Saturday morning. So no coffee drying or other coffee theater happenings. A pity, but a good experience, as we had a good finale with an expert taster with dozens of cups of coffee out. So that's 4 stars.

Thanks for writing a review on San Alberto, your comment puts us on alert because we would like everyone to leave our estate completely happy. Furthermore your comment evidences you didn´t enjoy drinking coffee at San Alberto, which awakes a serious concern and makes us very sad because our reason of being is the coffee even more than any other thing. As one of the owners of San Alberto estate please accept my apologies, I will make sure service and taste remain at extreme high levels despite pressures of the peak periods such as Easter.

Our tour of the Cafe San Alberto Hacienda was a fascinating experience. The family behind Cafe San Alberto are absolutely committed to producing quality coffee and their passion is evident in all aspects of their plantation. We learned so much about what distinguishes quality coffee from the rest, how San Alberto are working constantly to maintain and improve the quality of their coffee through processes like their Quintuple Seleccion, and how they have earned the Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certifications. The tour includes a cupping workshop where you can try different coffees roasted in micro-batches in their cupping lab. Even if you're not interested in coffee, go for the spectacular view from the Terraza cafe. It's the best in the Zona Cafetera.

This place is one of my favorites' in Colombia, is the perfect combination between the best coffee and the most beautiful landscape! It is really worth it and you will take the best of Colombia !

We have now visited Terraza San Alberto on 4 occasions with visitors and absolutely love it. The setting and views are amazing and worth the trip even just for a cup of coffee but the coffee tour is the best we've done (and we've done quite a few in and around Armenia). The tours are available in English and the explanations and customer service are first class. This family run business based on the theory behind wine tasting, represents la creme de la creme of colombian coffee, it really is the best we've tasted - so much so, we stock up on it for home and as presents for guests. We're always well looked after and it is one of the highlights of our visitors' trips to colombia.

San Alberto is located in Buenavista, Quindío, and has probably the best view I have ever seen while travelling through Colombia. I had heard of them because they have won diferent awards for their quality and taste (lately 3 golden stars by the ITQI of Brussels and before that the golden medal at Moscow's World Food Fair). If you go to Scotland, you'd want to learn about whisky from experts, that's what you should also do when going to Colombia to learn about coffee. When you go there you don't only enjoy the landscape, the mountains and the view on the coffee crops, you also spend an exclusive moment of professionalism and high quality learning.I had the chance to go there with two friends and they booked the Coffee Premium Tour only for us. We visited the plantation, went through the whole coffee process and had a coffee cupping. They explained to us that they were inspired by the great wines of France and it actually felt like visiting a vinyard, and we were taught so many valuable things by San Alberto´s coffee experts it was definitely worth the trip.Afterwards you can also sit at the Terrace and drink a cup of their super premium coffee and eat a little something.Totally recommended! This cafe is located in a small town called Bellavista, which means, beautiful view. The name of the town makes justice to the view. The town is located on top of a small ridge of a mountain chain. From there, you have a 270 degree view of a vast valley. It is just gorgeous! Cafe San Alberto is located a little bit higher up than the center of town. It has a deck that hangs over a coffee crop. Their coffee is grown and processed there, on the San Alberto estate. The area is know for the great quality of its coffee. We enjoyed a variety of coffees. They all had a good taste and aroma. Besides the coffee, we found a good selection of fresh made pastries. We also saw a demonstration of a different filtering process to prepare coffee. It was very interesting. The barista used a glass German coffee maker that looks similar to a sand clock. Every step of the preparation had a set timing and method. The process looked like a chemistry experiment!Besides drinking the coffee there, you can buy the coffee by the pound. It is a little bit expensive, but it is worth the money. We spend a couple of hours there talking, sipping the coffee and enjoying the view from the deck. Don't forget to bring your camera. I wish I had brought my camera, I just had my cellphone.
