We saw so much wildlife! We got up close with white tipped sharks and sea turtles and blue footed boobies. Saw a sea snake and lots and lots of fish.I find the name "Tunnels" misleading... it's more like lava bridges... but still it's awesome.Highly recommend, yeah it sucks it costs so much to do it, but it's worth it (you can get it for $80USD).You should be a decent swimmer though because there are a few strong currents you run into and you dive under a couple bridges.Oh and bring shoes, because you get out and walk around the lava 'bridges' for a while to take photos.

Definitely go with Rosedelco, they were the best! We swam with turtles, sharks, penguins, a young albatross and golden rays. And best of all we saw two large seahorses. The guides took photos of everything we saw and copied them to a memory stick for us at no charge. We highly recommend Los Tuneles with Rosedelco!

On our second day on Isabela, my friend and I booked a joint tour of Los Tuneles through our hotel (Iguana Crossing) and it was absolutely the highlight of our stay on the island. Do not miss this! The day we went, there were 8 others on the tour - to make 10 total (not including the guides). You start by being boated (about 20-30 mins) on a high speed boat to a rock jut out near the coast where you can see penguins and blue-footed boobies sunning. We also were lucky enough to spot some manta rays mating in the water (pointed out by the captain). Then we were taken by boat through the tuneles - the lava rock formations in the shallows - that look like small bridges linking little rock islets together. You get to walk on a specific area of the tuneles and see the interesting vegitation and perhaps some sea life if you are lucky. We were and saw a sea turtle swim through along with plenty of endemic crabs. We also spotted a nesting blue-footed boobie. Back to the boat where they take you to two separate snorkeling spots. One is where the black tipped sharks are - along with some fish. And the second, most importantly, contains the sea turtles! On our trip we spotted about 6 total - at most 2 were near each other at one with perhaps a 3rd nearby - but you could get very close (don't touch them - all animals in the Galapagos are protected) and they majestically and calmly swam by - around - or beneath you. Breathtaking. Mind-blowing. Be sure to do this - the memories will last a lifetime. We were served a "bag lunch" as part of our tour as well - but be sure to pack plenty of water. It's sunny and hot out no matter when you go.

It's expensive for $80 (?), but in my opinion, you can't not go to Los Tuneles while on Isabela. The landscape is really neat--you can see exactly what it's like in the pictures, but there are so many arches and tunnels that it's a really fun experience to weave your way through them on a boat, looking at boobies and pelicans on the land, and sea turtles and fish in the water. On a typical tour, you get to snorkel in two spots, maybe for 45 minutes each time. While snorkeling, we saw seahorses, rays, sea turtles, and sharks. Plus it's cool to snorkel around the rocks and through the arches. The water is protected and calm here--it's easy for bad swimmers like me.

We went for a snorkeling trip in February, 2015 and it was amazing. We chose the Rosedelco agency, which was great but be aware they don't speak English. As a matter of fact, on the galapagos surprisingly not many people speak English. It is still manageable and if you are good with hands and gestures you should be alright. During the trip we saw Rays, lots of them, swam with them too and sea turtles, saw white tailed sharks, colorful fish, sea horse, swam under tunnels, visited pinguins. It really was an awesome trip! Highly recommended if you go to isabella. It is $80 so not the cheapest but you do see a lot too..

This is the one thing you can't miss. For my couple and I this was the best part of the trip. Book it with time! it should be aprox. 80$

It was great, saw manta rays, sharks, one sea turtle, seahorses, a large and beautiful school of fish (flounder maybe), and 3 little penguins. I was fantastic, but it almost seemed like everything (all of the sea life) was staged in the exact spots the captain took us. We were excited about the underwater pictures that the captain took and that was included in the $80 package, but they didn't turn out very well and we didn't know that we had to bring our own flash drive (or buy a CD for $3, which is what we had to do).

The most memorable moment for us was the boat ride. We saw over 30 manta rays, got up close to a giant one - 5m wing span. We also saw their 'mating dance', jumping up from the water to impress their potential mates. We wish we could have spent more time following one, or being closer to one. We are scuba divers so we know how its so rare to see mantas. Other folks in the boat lost a bit of interest after they saw 10 or more. We couldn't get enough of them! The tunnels itself were amazing. The only problem was they wanted you to stay so close together during the snorkeling that you end up getting kicked in the face, and missing the animals since people who had cameras or go pros were pointing it in the animals' faces. The other annoying thing is people trying to snorkel when they are obviously afraid of the water. This causes a lot of problems for the entire group and wastes time. If just for snorkeling I would rate 3, but with the manta rays spotting this is definitely a 5 plus for me - a must do for scuba divers who want to see mantas up close.

We weren't sure about this tour at first but everywhere we went everyone kept talking about it and they were right. This experience was great. We had a great boat and crew that played fun music and when we found manta rays out in the open ocean they stopped to let us jump in with them! They took us to a place where we swam with a school of golden rays and then onward to see sleeping sharks in caves, sea horses, and sea turtles. The best snorkelling experience we have had!
