a teeny lil theatre but beautifully built to accommodate a variety of entertainment. Been many times and totally adore soaking up the old fashioned atmosphere.

I just came here for a comp and this theatre is great! It is old but has a ton of character and is very beautiful! The staff were really friendly and is in a great location, right near the shops! Overall, excellent!

Attended for a competition, found it a bit old and average. Competitor enjoyed facilities though and also enjoyed the individual dressing rooms.

This delightful theatre in Lydiard is worth visiting - small and intimate it reflects the wealth that Ballarat was built on

Though very old and one of the most historical theatres around it has a lovely charm about it.Located in the city of gorgeous Ballarat the theatre has appeal, friendly, courteous staff and is definitely worth a look in.

When a show is in town it's worth visiting. An old fashion theatre that keeps it's old style charm. A very well maintained building.

Some of the seats could be replaced and the toilets a little dirty, but otherwise quiet friendly staff.

Truly a majestic venue for musical performances, plays etc.Great location in the centre of Ballarat.Convenient first floor area for entertaining pre performance.

HerMaj is improving greatly on the range of shows they now bring to Ballarat. This may be because of a change in thinking of the people of Ballarat as they appear to be supporting more the shows that come to town.

her Majesty's is simply a theatre built when live theatre was the only form of entertainment. Built in the 19th century, the seats are comfortable, the ambience great. It is an old style theatre to needs to be experienced by young and old.

We went here to see BLOC - Chicago.I always love going to Her Majesty's Theatre. It's such a beautiful well presented old building.Tonight we were in the upper balcony. The view onto the stage was beautiful and the show was also very good but what really stole the show was the wonderfully restored and preserve architecture and facade in the building. Her Majesty's Theatre is truly a very graceful building with an impressive restoration.

What a beautiful theatre. South Street lights up with Dance comps throughout sept & oct. and the theatre comes alive.

Her Majesty's is one of the oldest theatres in Australia and has been restored to it's original glory. It caters for many live shows as well as the renowned South Street Eisteddfod. The seating, while not uncomfortable, needs to be updated.

Saw "The Phantom" what an excellant production by the local theatre group, on a par with any you may see in Melbourne. Have visited on various occasions and always been thrilled with the venue.

Memories of my calisthenics days of performing at the 'royal South Street' competitions. Phantom of the opera playing there from February
