来到geelong,才知道维州第一大运动是footy,每年赛季末的时候,满城的车窗上都插着cats的队旗。simonds体育场就是cats的主场。逢周末比赛,火车站附近都是球迷会晤着围巾。不过体育场设施一般。最后,go cats!

It's a sporting arena and home to Geelong netball. Swimming is available for the casual visitor. On a main road. Good parking. Catch an AFL game in Winter and the facilities are great. Nothing else. Not like the MCG with its fantastic museum

Terrific seats everywhere. No matter where you sit, you get a great view and the access to the park is easy. Affordable parking nearby and we usually win!

This place has an amazing atmosphere when the footy is on! The open roof is a nice sight (however a little cold in winter), and looks great inside and out

Great stadium that has had some real money spent on it recently. New lighting is a bonus and there is a plan for upgrading the remaining seating around the ground. There is a great history of the game and Geelong as a club and there is a lot of stuff available from the merchandise store for the supporters. The only downside was the service on the bar/bistro - it was all a bit too casual for us.

If you have been lucky enough to be a Cats supporter for the past 7-8 years then how could you not enjoy what the team has delivered to its faithful spectators. Three loses over the years is a great achievement and sends a great buzz through the Geelong community when we have another win. Even as the coaching staff try to make the necessary changes to continue to have a blend of youth and experience we keep on winning. No-one would have thought we would play off for a spot in the pre-lim this year.Someone is doing right at Catland!

We love our CATS and have been members for the past 14 years. We have always sat in the old Hickey Stand and gave up our seats for a season whilst the new stand was built. We now sit in the new players stand right up the back on level one. We think they are the best seats at the ground in most ways. The family atmosphere is fantastic. We have made friends with most of the people who sit around us. We have all the amenities just behind us and plenty of walking and standing room to stretch our legs. The lights a just magnificent and we love our night footy. The only down side is that they did not completely cover the back in as I believe they ran out of money. This means when the wind blows from the river end, we all freeze. As we sit in the back row, I have made some wind breaks that velcro on to the bars behind us. Everyone in the area is so appreciative. It would be nice if the club looked into completing the back of the stand for everyone.

Whether you bleed Blue & White, or just love footy, Simonds Stadium is well worth a visit. It's an evolving Icon of the home of the Geelong Cats Football Club and there is plenty to see. Photos of the past and present players, the oval itself is great to view even when there is no game, I love to check it out on a weekday and just see it when its empty and quiet, all the new grandstands and seating, its becoming a real modern masterpiece, love or hate the new extremely high lights they certainly have put the ground on the horizon. The Cats Shop is at the front entrance and out front are the terrific statues of the many talented sports people from the area and theres plenty of carparking. I love what they are doing at my local footy ground, and I'm sure if you go down and have a look, take the kids they will also enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of the oval and photos. Sneak into the Bistro and show them the big painting of the Team of the Century, Lets keep the Pride in the Geelong Cats Alive. GO CATTAS.

I love going to Simmonds stadium, especially when we win, which we usually do. The upgrades have been superb, the lights are just magnificent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. We were there for the match against Freo and it was terrific. However our seats we3re not so great and were difficult to locate. The signage needs improving, and the staff are not always helpful. We were right up one end, behind the goals on the 2nd level, although it said 1st level on our tickets. We could hardly see the scoreboard, which was annoying as it was difficult to see way down the other end. The price of our tickets was ridiculous, and I am never quite sure exactly who to blame for this. But it may affect us going again.

This is the heart of the AFL. I guess we have the best supporter base in the AFL. We will always give our best and unfortunately the AFL treats us badly. Why should our home games be at MCG or Etihad. I Travel 120 kms just to see us. Richmond v power only had 20.000. Last week we were full. We have a terrific venue.

Simonds Stadium is not quite as hi-tech as some of the stadiums in the capital cities but it has the residual feel of the old one club VFL ground and that makes it worth visiting. For a person who was born in Geelong and has followed the Cats since 1961, there are still the ghosts of games played there when I stood on the terraces sometimes in mud and at others on tiptoe in order to catch intermittent glimpses of play. Those, some say, were the good old days. Now almost everyone is seated and almost no one has their view impeded. The price of entrance is higher than in days of old and the food is certainly more expensive even when the increased average wage is factored in. However, toilets are plentiful and clean and the ground surface is pristine. No beer swilling idiots to put up with - well, perhaps a few in the standing area. These are the better old days at Kardinia Park (AKA Simonds Stadium)

Great first time experience at a live AFL match. Seating booked on line. We were close behind the goal posts. Great position

no roof, i was drenched during a geelong game. had to leave early as the children i was with were crying saying their fingers were going to fall off. definitely would rather a stadium with a roof.

We had a very nice meal here not to expensive and a nice relaxing atmosphere. The tables being round made it easy to talk to our friends and the meals all came at the same time so that was good

This ground is great for atmosphere. Not so good as far as seeing the big screens from all angles (Some seats are sort of adjacent to the screen and you have to really swivel your head around to see anything. The screens opposite have quite small text. I also thought the staff in the stands were less than helpful. We had been wrongly seated twice. When we finally found our correct seats there were people in them (also wrongly seated) and I went to tell the guy at the entrance. His comment : Oh you're about the two hundredth person who has told me this tonight. Didn't offer any solution. We had to sort it out ourselves. Poor training of staff!
