Walking around this each morning during my stay in Shepparton was such a treat. People are friendly, plenty of wildlife and watching the sun rise over Shepparton was breathtaking. With the pool and gym on its edge exercising is really easy!

Only 2 blocks from the city centre, this peaceful haven offers great walking and cycling paths, with a variety of other activities like the skate park, table tennis, swimming (public pools), fishing, sailing, rowing and birdwatching. The Goulburn river meanders along the western side of Vic Park Lake.

Brilliant views while walking around the lake. Plenty of different birds to watch and feed. Walking track and bridge across the lake, clean paths and bushes trimmed. Water sports on the lake, had rowing boat corridor. Cafe on waters edge and a caravan park. Nice leisurely walk, joggers, runners, pram pushers, dog walking. Variety of people and activity.

This is a lovely area in Shepparton. Well worth a look around. Lots of space, dog friendly. Ducks on the lake. Really enjoyed going here.

I love going for walks around the lake when I visit Shepparton. It is a nice flat walk and you can make it longer if required by going over some bridges. Good picnic, a couple of playgrounds, lots of grass and even some BBQ areas.

Since Shepparton Council upgraded the lake and the surrounds, this has been an outstanding venue for visitors, family events, major events or just to go for a nice walk/run around the lake.

The park offers shaded areas and BBQ facilities. A scenic lake to look at and/or walk around. A good place to break a journey.

The Victoria Park Lake is a beautiful, money well spent project. It was so relaxing on the bench, watching kids on their skateboards, later moving closer to the water edge to just enjoy the sunshine and beautiful surrounds.

An oasis in the heart of the city. Relaxing walks. Native birds. A must. The lake house cafe is a must

Awesome spot to either relax, walk around lake, have a BBQ, take the kids to play and feed the ducks

I walk this lake shore often .It was restored by the local Council a few years ago, replanted with indigenous species, a system of small ponds to filter water were installed , all planted with local water plants. This has attracted myriad bird species and the local turtles have returned and are breeding . The water quality is superb , clear to the bottom , and free of rubbish. Well constructed walking paths that are suitable for walkers and wheel chairs. Rowers and kayakers regularly use the lake too . Plenty of mown green grass for picnics, council-maintained free bbqs too .Clean public toilets and there is a café at the south end .It gets busy but its the sort of place where everyone on the tracks around the lake says hello. I have seen many quite rare birds here as well which shows the ecosystem is working .It provides an excellent adjunct to the nearby Goulburn River . By the way, there is a big skate park at the north end and the Shepparton public swimming pool , Aquamoves.
