If you are in the area, Main Ridge Dairy is a must visit. The cheeses here are all goats cheese and there is quite a variety. The $10 tasting platter, is not only great value to share, but gives you the opportunity to taste all of the cheeses on display......and are they worth it. The cheese itself to buy is at very reasonable prices, and the have a nice little cafe setup with outside seating as well looking over the beautiful countryside......and goats. They do provide ice packs at a $1 so that you can keep the cheese cool until home. They also provide fridge packs should you need one.A really nice little place to visit, check out their website.

Had a great plate of 5 different local goat cheeses and a nice coffee. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone driving by.

We visited with some friends and had a great time. The dairy itself is a gorgeous building and the outlook with grazing goats is beautiful. The cheese is sensational and the gift shop has some really nice things. The service was very attentive and they were knowledgeable about their product. Something for everyone - couples, families and solo travellers - a must see!

We always make the effort to come here whenever we are on the Peninsular (even though we manage to get lost most times). We love the two legged girls running the business, always so friendly and helpful, we also love the four legged girls who produce such great milk for such wonderful produce. A coffee first, sitting outside, mesmerized by the calming surroundings, knowing how much the girls (4 legged ones must love it), then back into the shop to ponder over what cheeses to purchase this time. Marinated Cherve, Cilia, Capriole, Halloumi, etc., etc. Bag filled, off on the road again. Mmmmmmmm

I'm thinking as I walk down the path of pebbles at Main Ridge dairy, " Is this going to be a dud in the tin shed that I'm walking into?" The "shed" is pleasantly full and the atmosphere is country lay back, I like it!We order our drinks and a $35 platter for the four of us. Now I must confess a partiality to goats cheese, this cheese is out of this stratosphere! It's promised land cheese! We had 5 samples and I found it difficult to separate which I liked best, they were all "delish". We just found this little innocuous place high up in the Penisular delivered. You have gotta go if you are a cheese lover and by the way we found the cheeses for sale were reasonably priced .

I never really like goat's cheese but this dairy's cheeses are very nice. We visited as part of a MP Experience tour, and got to try about 10 different cheeses. We also got to see the "girls" being milked. They are very content and obviously well treated.

cheese tasting plater is good value priced at $10, i found that pleasently fair pricing. Goats milk is best ive tasted. Cheeses were good, nothing outstanding, but overall nice afternoon/venue

Great variety of cheese and all really tasty too - we got the tasting plate for $10 to share between 2; there were 10 types of cheese (enough for 2 people) and plenty of crackers. There is also some lovely kitchenware available for sale, and of course cheese. Definitely worth a visit - I would recommend morning tea or afternoon tea, as the tasting plate is a good snack size.

We called in spontaneously and realised it produced Goats cheese and nearly got back in the car as we didn't think we liked Goats cheese. The lady that served us was so lovely and helpful - how wrong we were!! We LOVE Goats cheese! The marinated Feta was the best I have tasted. We will be back!

If you are coming to the Mornington Peninsula, be certain to stop off in Mornington. Main Street is a lovely place for a stroll. There are many coffee shops, cafes and clothing boutiques to peruse. Stop and have a coffee or some lunch. Stroll down to the Mornington Pier at the end of Main Street (although it is partly closed for reconstruction) and have a walk along the beach. There is a small lookout with views to Melbourne on a clear day. There is also a beautiful park with a statue of Matthew Flinders. On Wednesday mornings, there is a fabulous market (in Main Street) with produce, craft, food, jewellery and clothing. It is the longest running street market in Victoria. This is my hometown! Take Peninsula Link (no toll highway) and exit at Mornington-Tyabb Road.
