Thank you SO much for taking the time to review us. Yes the cockies love to be scratched but also cannot help but take a little nibble sometimes. We have signs to warn people but unfortunately it is usually the blokes that get caught!!! Sorry about that. Funny tho. talking about blokes, they just adore Rod but always draw blood with me to. Glad you enjoyed the replica of the " Ned's ramshackle hut". Cheers to you Chris, Rod, Lee and Diane of Kate's Cottage Gifts, Souvenirs, Museum and Homestead.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us plus include so many great photos. This is very helpful for us as feedback but also invaluable for the traveller looking to make a decision of whether to swing off for the half a minute drive off the freeway into our historic little town. Thank you again Cheers Chris

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Ned Kelly and his gang staged an unsuccessful battle here at Glenrowan in June 1880. They amazingly had the idea to don armour made from mould board plough shares for protection. This vision has sparked peoples immagination for many generations. We hope that you picked up the free map to explore those historic sites in the town....it is so very interesting. Cheers and thanks again Chris Rod Lee & Diane from Kate's Cottage GSM & H.

THANK YOU We have owned the shop, museum & homestead display for over 29 years. The cockies Howard & Dorothy have their own fan club. They just LOVE the attention. Many of our visitors first came in then they were little kids and now are coming in with their own little kids. Makes us feel old. It is lovely to see return visitors. .If they are return customers that is nice as it keeps the establisment ticking over but it is even better to have others just pop in to say hello and are pleased that we are still here. THANK YOU for taking the time to review us and hope that you pop in again sometime. Cheers to you Chris, Rod. Lee & Diane......Marie retired at the ripe young age of 82.

We love to hear that we have made a good impression for overseas visitors...especially students. This is all very important for good world relationships. We have in our 29 year met some delightful young visiitors. Yes the cockies are loud but are hillarious when they start talking and dance...which they don't always do. Thanks again for taking the time to review us it is very much appreciated. Cheers to you Chris, Rod Lee & Diane.

We are SO sorry that you felt ignored by one of our staff. If you look at this site and Ned Kelly Museum site which is one and the same we usually get great remarks about" friendly staff".On one occasion we told one of our ladies that she could close early to see her mum in hospital....so that would account for her preoccupation. Sadly her dear mum died two days later. Usually, change is not counted until the very last...so we think this may unfortunately been the day. So sorry again...but thank you for taking the time to review us as it makes us more attentive to our customers...no matter the circumstances. Cheers Chris Rod Lee and Diane.

Somehow strangely our shop Kate's Cottage has a separate listing to the Museum and the Kelly Homestead on tripadvisor. We are one and the same on the one site. "Getaway" have featured us at least three times so we have had some great responses. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to review us. Cheers to you Chris Rod Lee & Diane

The younger set as you call them do especially love the cockatoos. Howard is the oldest and was bought with the business over 29 years ago so he is probably 65 +. Dorothy is Dorothy Mark11 . The original one died so she is not quite so old. She has however had a bit of a checkered past as sometimes some of the things she says are a little cheeky. She can also "wolf whistle" ...still much appreciated and remembered by the "older set". All in all they love the attention and sometimes give me grief when I am telling the "Ned Kelly story" to a school group as they will try and compete for their attention. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to review us. Cheers to you Chris Rod Lee & Diane.
