Easily the highlight of my 2 day stay in Daylesford.I was a little overwhelmed as I entered its gardens and started in the museum section- reliving so many memories.Got to see some exceptional pieces of art and coils have spent all day in the shop! And in fact the gorgeous woman in there welcomed me to stay all day browsing if I wanted! For $5 I experienced wonder, beauty, talent and history and all the women running it were just lovely.I texted my husband while I was there declaring "I want to get married again just so we can get married here!"I finished my self-guided tour with a warm spicy tea and lemon tart. The whole experience was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

The old convert was great. Have to visit if in Daylesford. The old rooms like the infirmitary. Café was closed when visited but went back next day and was worth the return visit

just not worth looking at. I am not a catholic, so I suppose that's why I wasn't interested. I thought there would be more to see. very small.

Stopped for coffee and teas here. Sat out on a small patio overlooking the garden. Art gallery is as interesting as the building. A good place to visit in Daylesford.

Art, food and atmosphere all in one beautiful place. The current art shows are excellent and the food plentiful and tasty enough to keep you going.

On arrival there was confusion with our lunch booking and we were not seated where we booked for whereas other walk ins after us were seated in our requested area. My meal was fine but overpriced for what was delivered. My partners' meal was only just warm in the middle. After many visits previously will not return now, the place needs a good clean and refresh.

Art galleries, charming café, lovely gardens as well as retaining the history of the place as a convent and school. What more could you want in one beautiful historic building overlooking Daylesford. I take my hat off to Tina who has done all this, it's such an attraction for the town.

Had afternoon tea of coffee and scones which were delicious. Also attended a wedding which was outstanding. Food served at the reception was restaurant quality and every detail was thought of.

Make sure you budget plenty of time whist in Daylesford to visit The Convent Gallery. This place is not "just a gallery" but a beautiful, impeccably restored building with beautiful gardens to stroll around. Besides the gallery it is a museum, a cafe, where they serve the best coffee, local wines and freshly prepared meals. There is also a bar and a reception venue ideal for weddings with its own chapel in the building. However, lets not forget the gallery, which has regularly changing exhibitions by accomplished artists (no second rate paintings here) as well as permanent art on display and for sale at incredibly reasonable prices. I understand that Tina, the owner is also an artist and employs a curator to maintain the high standard which is certainly apparent. The gift shop has an eclectic range of interesting and arty goods to purchase, also at reasonable prices.I have read that many people have difficulty accessing the Convent as it is situated on a slope and the walk from the car park is via a steep path. There is actually a rear entrance which is wheel chair friendly and there is also a lift to take you to the reception level. If you are only passing through the beautiful towns of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, do not miss visiting The Convent Gallery as it is amongst the top attractions in the region

This was a lovely surprise. The renovated convent has a lovely cafe, shop and history. A nominal fee is charged to walk through the building, which is well worth the it. The history and the little museum in the old dungeon/music room was most enlightening. The chapel is restored and the whole site is an ideal place for a wedding or celebration. The artwork on display was very interesting and varied. Worth a look.

Dear Djascott,Thank you for your recent visit and feedback on your time here. Our opening hours are 10am-4pm, however we do not accept patrons into the gallery after 4pm, the building doesn't actually close until closer to 5pm. This allows for patrons to browse the spaces without being hurried. Our establishment is a rather large operation and takes 45-60 minutes to close all the departments. We do have limited mobility access points and an elevator for patrons who cannot utilise the original staircase, it is rather narrow and steep - I agree. I have bought your review to the attention of our front office staff to ensure they inform our guests who may have mobility issues. Also please remember for next time, gallery admissions are valid for 3 consecutive days, so if you feel you haven't seen everything you're most welcome to revisit. Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with feedback,Liam Thornycroft

Elegant building, great gallery, welcoming cafe with good food, beautiful grounds. You even get a little work out walking up steps.

The displays are quiet colourful and live, as we were attended a wedding there, it was really beautiful after all the decor. It has a nice garden and a nice bar and cafe, good sitting area. And I like the building itself!
