I am a regular to Stanthorpe and always visit this centre to keep up to date with places I missed last time. Their Cafe overlooking Quart Pot Creek is a serene place to sit with a cuppa whilst deciding on your travel plans around the Stanthorpe area.

The visitor's centre located by the bridge over Quart Pot Creek. The centre has an exhaustive range of local and area information plus a range of local produce to sell. Should you be just travelling through the town they have plenty more tourist information there too. A small coffee shop is located in the tourist centre and when open take the time for a break and imbibe your drink on their terrace overlooking the creek-very restful and pretty.

This was always going to be my first 'port of call' even though I had researched my trip to Stanthorpe using print and on-line sources. Having previously worked as a volunteer in a visitor information centre, I appreciated the decor and resources in this one. I particularly appreciated the ability to sit down outside overlooking the river and have a barista standard coffee and a delicious cake while I went through the brochures I had collected inside. Although I didn't buy many goodies from the Centre, because of their large range of local souvenirs and produce I planned to return here if I had missed out elsewhere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the district and its attractions with a great range of brochures and print materials. Well done guys!!

I suggest that you do not purchase any souveniers from this place. As a local I have investigated them and go to the newsagent or Sam's warehouse and the like such as the reject shop. Post cards for $1.50 each? If you do not care about money well ...

When you go to stanthorpe I highly recommend popping it to the visitor information centre for a chat with the helpful people there. We left with an armful of useful brochures and lots of hand marked maps with places of interest.

This is a good place to visit for information and direction on events and accommodation. The setting is picturesque by Quart Pot Creek. There is a real opportunity to lift the service level to truly promote the town and district through this centre but I don't think it has reached full potential yet. However, you are very likely to get insider info here, some beautiful cards and local condiments from a friendly group keen to help.

Got helpful advice on directions to our hotel and wine tours. Location next to Quart Pot Creek, lovely for walks.

Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre is located on Leslie Parade, just off Wallangarra road, which then becomes the New England Highway heading south towards Tenterfield.Besides giving good information, this little visitor centre has a nice café which serves great coffee and cake.Take it out the back to sit on the deck where you have great views of the Lions Park and Quart Pot creek.
