You cannot go to the area without going to symphony hill as it's just the best. This is the second time to visit here and we are so thrilled we are even a cellar door member and have wines from them delivered Keep up the good wok looking forward to our next shipment

This little winery outside Stanthorpe produces some beautiful wines - well worth a visit to the cellar door, for an informed and generous tasting experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the prices were very good too. Loved the wine that was served to William and Kate when they were in Brisbane - testament to the quality of the Symphony Hill product.

Bought the wine that William and Kate had on there trip to Brisbane and so cant wait to try it at home. Demo was great and wines are beautiful.

If you come to Ballandean and can only go to one winery, make it this one. The wines are excellent and Ewan is a delightful host.

We were on a group tour and Symphony Hill was the first and best stop. We sat in the barrel room while the owner Ewan enthusiastically described the wines. We were given a good selection of wines to taste including a very good Shiraz and some interesting whites. The winery is in a lovely setting and there is a nice little gift shop.

The lady that served us was so pleasant and we had a good time tasting the wines we ended up buying 3 bottles to take home. SHe even gave us more information about the area and local attractions too.

Second time visiting Symphony Hill as we had interstate friends for the weekend. However, we found the presenter rather boring - too much information which turned people off, sorry! Some wines we enjoyed, but too expensive overall.

Cellar door had a modern, stylish decor with friendly staff. There were some great wines on offer, but we did appreciate being asked what wines we liked and offering ones to try to be a bit adventurous. In fact, one of the wines we ended up most impressed with was a vintage red, despite that neither of us are big red (especially deep red) drinkers.

Quality award winning wines shown to us by the owner Ewen. Quite correctly he is proud of what has been magically produced assisted by hard work, of course! The investment here is clear but the passion simmers just below the surface and tumbles out when you taste his award winning Gerwurztraminer! Described as "Turkish Delight, rich lychee with spice and tang on the finish" - just doesn't quite describe this nectar! Just go to Symphony Hill and try for yourself.Have a great vintage Ewen

Firstly, the best attraction at Symphony Hill is the quality of the wine. Unlike some cellar doors, the place isn't exactly a beauty-spot. But, if you're there for the wines alone, then you won't be disappointed.Symphony Hill offers a good range of whites, reds, a few fortifieds and a couple of sparkling varieties. This winery is also on the local "Strangebirds" trail - showcasing some of the lesser-known varieties in Australia - varieties like viognier, tempranillo, petit verdot etc. Prices are reasonable for high-class wines and the cellar door has friendly staff. The parking facilities provide plenty of room for the number of people that the cellar door can handle (maybe a dozen or so people at a time). If the car park is packed, it might be better to come back in a little while so that you can enjoy the wines without being crowded. If you're in the Granite Belt to try a few wines, make sure that Symphony Hill is on your list.

Wow!, I had tasted the Symphony Hills Pinot Gris several years ago (loved it) but had never tasted the extensive range of quality wines from Symphony. My wife and I attended the cellar door last weekend and were very impressed with the entire range and also the professional service delivered by Belinda (think this is the correct name). We were slowly taken through the range from whites, reds, & fortifieds. The enthusiasm & passion displayed by Belinda was great to see and the wines were certainly high quality. It was great to see a Qld winery producing some top shelf wines that were complex, interesting and made skillfully from obviously a great winemaker. If you get the chance to attend this place I would recommend that you try the 2012 Gewurztraminer - This was an amazing wine which displayed intense turkish delight aromas and spice, along with a complex palate of rich lychee's/fruit tones spice and a slightly drying finish. Superb!

We stopped in to Symphony Hill Winery on the weekend. After trying a couple of wines there was one or two that were nice but just weren't right for us. The lady who served us took the time to find out what we preferred and then encouraged us to try another particular winery in the area. Her recommendation was spot on. What a great team player and representative of the Ballandean region. To put the visitor above a sale is to be commended.

Immaculate winery, professional winemaking team, superb array of cool climate wines makes this a worthwhile visit while on the Granite Belt. An impressive selection to taste including some great alternative varieties. Many awards in national and international shows.

We were looked after by the lady who is married to the winemaker. We really enjoyed the wine here and bought a family reserve wine which was delicious. She gave us a tour of the premises and explained the wine making process which was one of the highlights of our visits. A great visit - highly recommend.
