The warm & friendly welcome of Peter & Christine & the great hospitality & wonderful experience we had there. Can't think of any negatives about our stay there.

What a wonderful place! From the view over the tranquil Manning Valley interrupted only by the chirping of beautiful parrots, to the exquisite pieces in the gallery and café from Peter, Christine and other artisans: Alan Williams and Dr Jim Frazier (David Attenborough's cinematographer). We went for a weekend of woodturning with Peter and jewellery making with Christine and left with what I think are fantastic pieces of art and great friends.

This gallery has a surprising representation of high quality artisan craft. The timber pieces are particularly special.

Peter and Christine have collected an amazing array of gorgeous arts in their gallery. From stunning hand made wood jewellery boxes to stunning prints. Definitely worth having a look, a cup of tea and a chat with a very lovely couple.

Thank you so much for you wonderful review, Sharon. It was a delight to have you and your son here and to see how much enjoyment he gained from his class. Peter was glad to help him achieve his goal. We are thrilled that you love our gallery.

The owners are doing a wonderful job at getting local art recognised. There are some exceptionally talented artist displaying their work. The high standard was impressive. Not somewhere I would make a special trip to go and see though. We were heading through so it was on the way, a pleasant stop over.

The owners, Peter & Christine, say that their criteria for items includes that the items are different; most of the items we saw are. Handblown glass oil burners with fibre glass wicks which draw up the oil but do not burn, wall hangings made from pressed metals, turned timber items are part of a collection that is reasonably priced and wide enough for gift inspiration. Well worth a visit if you're decorating or looking for a gift. Check the website - usually closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but may open extended times during school holidays.

This place was great! The staff (Peter and Chris) were very helpful and their enthusiasm for art rubbed off on us (I'm not much into art). We stayed in one of the guestrooms which was excellent and woke up to have a scrumptious brekky prepared. The coffee was amazing as well. The place has a great view across to Taree and is not too out of the way. It is convieniently located near to state forests and beaches for those into 4 wheel driving. A truely great getaway!!! Thanks and I hope to return to Artisans, may try woodworking next time

We recently had an overnight stay at this quaint, gorgeous B&B. There are 3 main bedrooms exquisitely decorated in their own unique way. One bedroom with its own ensuite and the other 2 bedrooms share a huge modern bathroom. All new and extremely comfortable and an absolute pleasure to wake up to hear birds singing and cows in the paddock. The owners, Peter & Christine are simply a joy to meet and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and clearly passionate about their many crafts, workshops and of course, their beautiful gallery. If you are visiting the Manning Valley/Taree area, you have to visit this place. Do yourself the favour.....

My sister Gabby and I love our arts and crafts and were ready to learn some skills, so we decided to partake in 2 of the workshops Artisans on the Hill provides. The Glass Slumping and Fusing Workshop with Peter was fantastic! We first learnt all the basics of glass cutting for the first couple of hours and then went full steam ahead and designed, cut and slumped a glass plate. We then learnt the art of glass fusing and had the freedom to create anything we wanted. It was a great day and these classes are definitely value for money. The next day we engaged in the Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Workshop. We learnt the precise methodology of how to create silver pendants using the PMC. Christine and Peter were so lovely to work with!

I can only assume you were in one of the 2 cars who drove up our driveway yesterday morning. Our signs at the entrance to the property indicated we were closed at the time, and that we are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The signs also indicate that lunches are by prior booking only (morning and afternoon teas are available anytime we are open).I recall that I came out to see if I could help when one of your cars had already turned in the carpark and looked to be heading back out.I did offer to open the Gallery for you, and advised that the Coffee Lounge was not open.As I did not get the opportunity to chat to you (as we try to do with our visitors), I do not know how you found out about Artisans. Our website and brochure quite clearly state we are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the exception of January school holidays when we are open 7 days.I understand your disappointment at finding Artisans closed when you arrived, but please do not let that stop you from returning and discovering the amazing works in the Gallery and enjoying a morning or afternoon tea.Looking forward to showing you what we are really all about.Peter

Great gallery with quality pieces - definitely worth a visit. Get Peter to tell you about each artist and explain about the pieces - this really adds to the experience. If I had just viewed the works of art instead of touching and gaining understanding from Peter, it would have been a much lesser experience and the saddest thing is that I would not even have known!

The best stopping point between Byron and Sydney - every visit feels like coming home to Mum and Dad's place!! The welcome is warm, the food delicious, and Peter and Christine bend over backwards to make you feel at home.Well worth the stop over. Keep up the good work!!!Wayne and Miriam

My husband & I were visiting my sister & brother in-law who live in Taree... We took them for a trip to the Hills in Tinonee to see the Artisan Gallery. What a wonderful time we had... You would probably think that you wouldn't find such a treasure in this place... but we did! If you love unusual and fascinating art... it is a must see!!The view from the coffee shop was spectacular.

The Artisans on the Hill is certainly a feast for the senses: exploring the exquisite gallery, chatting with Peter and Christine, admiring the gorgeous Mondrook location, and enjoying a lovely afternoon tea while teasing our brains with an assortment of puzzles. Thankfully Peter and Christine helped us out or we might still be there! What a lovely way to spend a wet afternoon. The Artisans on the Hill has a diverse range of workshops on offer and I am excited to say that I have already booked my first one in sculpture. The upcoming Artisans Expo in February will be definitely worth a visit too.As a Manning Valley local I am disappointed that it has taken me so long to visit this place, but it will surely become a place to take visitors as we showcase our area.
