A must see for visitors to the Southern Highlands. Great pottery, woodwork and other artworks. Attached workshops provide numerous courses for those wanting to learn / improve artistic skills

I spent an afternoon browsing in the gallery and later walking through the gardens. Obviously there are many artistic and talented people living in the area as the works on offer were of a very high standard. Later on had a delicious lunch of frittata and salad in the cafe. The portion was extremely generous and well priced. A worthwhile detour if you are in the area.

We stopped here for lunch on our return from Canberra. We were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The cafe was well patronised, obviously a favourite with tourists and locals. Each of the four of us selected a different meal from the blackboard menu and we were all well-satisfied with our respective choices. We also visited the Craft Centre and were very impressed with the hand-crafted items on display. The ceramics, woodwork, textiles and jewellery were of the highest quality - it was good to see several locals' work on display. Rather expensive.Overall, we enjoyed our brief stop-over and can recommend The Sturt Gallery to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing lunch.

An interesting gallery of handcrafted furniture that are works of art. Unique jewellery, fabric and pottery. After browsing and shopping at your leisure enjoy a light meal or cake in the coffee shop. Set in the beautiful gardens of Frensham you feel like you are miles away from civilisation. A gem not to be missed on a visit to Mittagong.

Popped in for coffee and basic snack.Menu limited and decor very basic.Sturt Craft Centre is a stylish and very expensive establishment -but the adjoining cafe appears to be just a hastily put together after- thought.Service lacks style and warmth and there is nothing to offer that would make a consumer wish to use this cafe as a semi- regular coffee haunt.

The gallery is a good stop over. They have lots of wood work, ceramics, jewellery and prints. To my surprised they don’t have any paintings except one. Wish they could encourage more artist around the area to display their paintings. The coffee shop was great. It was bit pricy.

The gardens were lovely to walk through ,but the art/sculptures/ jewelery etc were just magnificent. Such talented people displaying their work in such beautiful surroundings. Whilst there with a group of friends we had lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the prices. Well done, to the cafeteria staff. I'll be back with my visitors.
