junee visitor information centre

Although it was near closing time the staff were keen to help with our inquiries....where to eat, what to look at etc. This was very helpful and left us with a very positive impression of Junee.

After seeing the below reviews, I thought I would update the great service, which is mainly volunteer run, that most Visitor Information centres provide for travellers.Since the latest review is well over a year old, I can honestly say that we received great service here and were provided with alot of brochures, maps and information on:the heritage West and East walking tracks, the historical buildings, war memorial, railway roundhouse museum, licorice and chocolate factory, the haunted- Monte Cristo home,and even further out of town, with the Junee shire bushrangers trail.With all this material, we now ended up doing many of the tours, walks and spent the whole day in and around historic Junee. Thank you for the service and care you provided.

Thank you for your review. We are a level 3 Visitor Information Centre which means that it is staffed with volunteers. So we do not overwork our volunteers, we are currently only able to staff it on weekends and public holidays. Centre staff are however available at any time to answer your questions. The Stand is always stocked up to ensure that there are plenty or brochures and information available to all visitors. We hope to be able to provide more staffing in the future.
