Lovely spot to while away a bit of time. The gallery exhibits different art exhibitions during the year. At times, there are crafts to be seen and/or purchased in adjacent area. There is a small gift shop with tasteful gifts. Coffee and cake or lunch can be partaken at Caroline Bay Brasserie which is in the building. My favourite though, is the beautiful Japanese Gardens, such a lovely serene setting adjoining the gallery. Children and adults alike love to view the Koi from the little bridge overlooking the pond. Families need not be concerned as to attend the gallery and the garden is free of charge.

Showcases local artists. Always changing from painting to high end crafts - quilts, ceramics, wearable art. So much talent in this area.

I have always enjoyed my visits to Gosford Regional Gallery. The setting is lovely in the park. The gallery itself has excellent and interesting exhibitions throughout the year, especially the Archibald Prize. The smaller exhibition spaces show local artists, recently the Central Coast Watercolour group had an exhibition. Outside, there is of course the very lovely Japanese garden. The council does an excellent job in maintaining these gardens in picture perfect condition. If you get peckish, thrre is the small cafe for a light lunch or coffee and something sweet. Seating is svsilable indide or out. If you like, you could take a picnic lunch and enjoy the park area nearby. One of Gosfords best places for an enjoyable afternoon

Well presented local art in a centre amongst lovely parkland, good cafe attached and amenities. Paintings well presented and very well arranged, showcase for local artists, Also craft of other styles to view and purchase. A find at East Gosford

I spent several hours wandering the gardens and gallery at this beautiful location yesterday. Gardens are well maintained, a very peaceful space to enjoy the shade as you walk the path and experience feeding the fish. We were given the best customer service by the friendly and helpful volunteer ladies in the gift shop and made several purchases in this lovely shop. The artwork of the local artists is exquisite and very reasonably priced and service was exemplary from the delightful staff in the gift shop. We also enjoyed the exhibition and chats with the local artists who had a current exhibition here as well. What totally ruined our most pleasurable day was the service from management at the Cafe where we had lunch. (please see my review) I hope that this is rectified soon as i would hate to have this attractions excellent pleasurable experience tarnished by such bad customer service from the Cafe Gallery's present management.

I recommend this gallery and the Japanese gardens alongside to anyone who knows the Central Coast only for its beaches. The gallery has been operating for quite a few years now yet retains a fresh feel, puts on a variety of exhibitions, and has a nice gallery shop. (Reports of the gallery's café under present management are poor, unfortunately.)

Travelled to this gallery by public transport from Sydney to see the Archibald Prize 2014. The gallery is quite small, but big enough to display all the paintings from the Archibald. A beautiful gallery shop, but the cafe was rather disappointing because of the attitude of the staff who were mostly rather grumpy. There is a lovely Japanese garden at the rear of the gallery.Entry is by donation.

We have visited this Regional Gallery before, but this time we had our 7 year old grandchild with us. She loved the Japanese garden which has lots of Koi swimming in the lake and there are delightful pretend birds and animals in the trees - a lot of fun for a child. The current exhibition had some quirky artworks which delighted our child. There is also a cafe and a gift shop.

If you are in the area, the Gosford Regional Gallery is well worth the visit. Form local to international artists, this gallery has something for everyone. You can wander the main gallery or the Studio Gallery to enjoy the sense of fine art or visit the gift shop to get a little reminder of your visit and when all is done, relax with a cup of coffee or something to eat at the cafe.To add to your visit, why not then enjoy the Japanese Garden as a way of relaxing after the gallery and taking in all you have just seen.

A beautiful and quaint art gallery leading out to a hidden Gem, The GOSFORD/EDOGAWA Commemorative Japanese Gardens. Peaceful and simply gorgeous on a bright sunny day. Perhaps, a little "small" but beautiful never-the-less and well worth the trip.

A hidden gem for the Central Coast. Beautiful peaceful and exquisitely manicured Japanese gardens, interesting Art exhibitions and the best food anywhere on the Central Coast. The chef here is one of the best with superb range of al a carte meals and a large array of traditional cakes and sweet tarts. Great place to meet friends for coffee and lunch, family special occasions; especially as it has a conference and event menu. Bookings essential on days such as Mothers day. Also perfect to go on your own for a peaceful and cultural day. It is a small local gallery but they change their exhibits regularly and are part of mobile exhibitions such as the Archibald. Hidden away at East Gosford so you will need a map to find it.

There was a very nice display of WWII art; it was interesting to see artists I had heard about, such as Drysdale, Hart etc. very nicely set out! And as always , followed by a visit to the beautiful gardens! A good morning out!

Gosford Regional Gallery is a great destination when visiting Gosford, a wander through the Japanese gardens and a coffee in the restaurant makes a nice outing
