this well maintained park has lovely grounds and excellent old buildings. the location is superb and it is located amongst some of Bathurst's most interesting old buildings.it is adjacent to the courthouse and even has a pond with ducks and fish.good eating and snacking is available in nearby eateries and the park has plenty of shade if needed.the impressive Carillon and War Memorial are also a feature.i visited several times and always found something of note

Relax and enjoy this magnificent park right in the heart of Bathurst. Come and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the rotunda, begonia house and the popular fountain.

We had a brief rest here while on our journey and were amazed at how well preserved the structures were here. Many of the buildings and trees date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s and have been beautifully maintained. There is also a fern house and a separate 'Begonia House' in the park (small buildings but impressive). We were there in February when the begonias were in full bloom and they just added that little smile to our journey.
