I loved the walk, the view, the journey getting there. I have done the walk by day and night. They are both very different. You must be very experienced and very cautious at night. Take a good torch and go slow. By day take the kids.

A great hike, definitely wear good hiking shoes as it can get a little slippy towards the end. The falls are more spectacular after good rains.

This is a special place and the forest walk to the base of the falls is worth it if you have a few hours to spare.

Amazing picnic area with boardwalks to the top of the falls. Large goannas at a touch of excitement. Breathtaking experience after heavy rain.

Make sure you have sturdy footwear and water - this is an absolutely brilliant walk for a few hours but a bit of climbing over rocks at the end! Absolutely stunning and worth it! Take your swim wear!

This waterfall is amazing from both the top lookout point (a huge 100m drop!) and from the bottom. The top of the falls is very easily accessible with a car park and short walk to the viewing platform but the main attraction would definitely have to be from the bottom. The walk to the bottom would take you around 45minutes at a leisurely pace and I would highly recommend wearing closed in shoes as there is a bit of rock climbing involved at the end (there were a few people who had broken their sandals along the way). We went just after heavy rain and the falls were stunning however there were a lot of mosquitoes around the track so wear/bring insect repellent. I’d also recommend bringing your swimmers as that (for me) was a highlight and plenty of drinking water (it gets very humid in the tropical conditions).

A beatiful place. Are you in the are and like nature you should see this, a nice waterfall. (it varies though if it has rained a lot or not.) Good experience of the wilderness in the area.

There are 2 parking spots, both of them are easier to get to with a 4WD but not necessary at all. We went after a heavy rain period so tracks were somewhat washed out but still ok for any car. However, same rain had provided loads of water, so waterfall was full full full! The sign said 100m drop...The view from the top is AWE. The view from the bottom even AWE-er! Wear somewhat sporty shoes for the short hike, bring your swimmers and your camera. Starting from the quieter parking, it took us 45 min walking each way. Some easy over boulders-climbing involved, nothing for knee pain.Bring salt, leeches are around.

For people afraid of heights it was a little scary standing on the wooden platform over the cliff to see the falls. I was too scared to look all the way down! HOwever if I made the 3-4km walk down Im sure they would have been spectacular. Just being in the forest was nice although the road in is very poorly maintained. There are other more magical places with easier acces in the area.

The road is 10 klms of dirt/ gravel to get there. It had rained on and off in the past 7 days so we expected the falls to be spectacular.Disappointingly were a dribble.

This attraction is a an enjoyable trip for tourists and locals alike. The last 10min road to the car park is in need of work, with pot holes etc., but is easy enough to drive on with care. If you just want to take in the view that is worth it but we walked to the bottom of the falls. This walk is almost 5km (10km round trip) and we enjoyed it very much. The top third of the walk down is through the gum trees, the second third the rainforest (amazing bird life, ) lastly the more cleared rocky bottom. The last couple of metres is over boulders to get to the base of the falls and the pool. Looking up the 100m falls is worth the hike with the water spray falling down . Note the walk is not difficult if you are fit, the path well maintained, BUT, don't start out without water, take an insect repellant (the bottom of the walk has leeches) and if you have a stick it would help the knees on the way up.. If you are fit take the walk you will feel that you have achieved something and maybe you will have the place to yourselves as we did. You coould also take a swim for your effort.

Nice easy hike, beautiful views, fun place to explore for an hour or two (or longer). We recommend this of your in the area and want to see the views. The top of the falls is pretty even if the water isn't running strong.

If you are anywhere within cooee of this amazing waterfall do make the effort, it is spectacular. This my second visit enroute to Kingscliff was not as overwhelming due to a mere trickle going over the side, but still worth the visit to takein the majesty of the landscape and beautiful rain forest.

We travelled here after visiting Crystal Castle. The road was quite narrow and winding and for the last ten minutes, unsealed. We didn't have a 4WD, but it was very dry when we visited. I wouldn't drive the road in the wet. Good parking and toilets at the lookout. It's a 50m walk to the lookout from the car park. It would be great to see the falls after it has rained. On the way back past towards Mullimbimby there is a great vantage point to Byron, you can see the lighthouse and coastline, a great photo opportunity.

We took it slow up through the national park as we were not in a 4wd, roads vary in quality and locals drive at pace especially coming back the other way. View at top an easy 50 meters to main lookout and very impressive. Longer bush walk tracks also start from main lookout.
