虽然Wilmot 的景点不多，但沿着Main Road 往Devonport方向驶去，两旁都是别具一格的邮箱，用废弃的油筒，失效的马达，被砍伐过的木头……，只是加了一些装饰，便成别具创意的邮箱。我们是从Cradle Mt 本打算前往Moles Creek，以为Wilmot 不太远便顺道一游，怎知该条道路很长，最后花了很多时间才去到Moles Creek.不过，若你是从Devonport前来的话，这是一个值得一游的地方。

It takes only an hour or two for driving along the road to see all the letterboxes. People use recycled materials to make the boxes. Rotten wood, oil tank, motor cycle engine... Anything that you think of can become the design of the letter boxes. The design may also reflect the business they are doing. From here, you can also have a marvellous view of the valley.We drove along Cradle Mountain Road for our next stop Moles Creek. It happened that we knew Wilmot was nearby and so we came here before going to Moles Creek. We never expected that it took longer time to get back to Moles Creek after Wilmot. We need to drive up and down the mountain and get around Lake Barrington. It is better to come here if you drive from Devonport.

We stopped off here for lunch on our way back from Cradle Mountain and what a lovely surprise. There was a good choice of pies and freshly made burgers and sandwiches as well as a good range of drinks. The service was very friendly.

Good to see it still going. Not too many country stores left in Tassy or Australia. This one is a bit of an irony as Coles has killed off most of our country stores.

A great bit of history so close to Cradle Mountain. Great pies and friendly service. Fresh bread and the best burgers. Very nostalgic and feels like stepping back in time.

As in most country town shops things which you take for granted may be pricey so look out, the prices here were good!!

Stopped at the Wilmot Country Store, looking for fuel and ended up staying for lunch! After filling up the car and hopping out to stretch the legs after the road trip up to Cradle Mountain, we wondered inside the store to discover a friendly and informative staff and locals. The store was well stocked with essentials, homemade cakes, preserves and crafts and even a small museum of the stores wonderful history – the original “Coles” supermarket.The tea room and tea garden were the perfect place for our young child to expel some energy and run about safely while we enjoyed a delicious and freshly made lunch. (It must be always good because the locals were coming and going the whole time we were there looking for their ’usual’).

Best place to stop and eat before Cradle Mountain. The Wilmot Country Store is just perfectly situated after driving up the long bendy roads on the way to Cradle. Great place to stop and have a leg stretch. We stopped for a coffee and ended up having a yummy lunch and an ice-cream. The kids loved to look at the painted murals of the quirky letter boxes. Highly recommend this store, with wonderful food,amazing coffee and perfect service. The owners could not have been any more helpful. Thank you

Der "Original Coles" in Wilmot ist ein General Store aus dem Bilderbuch. Hier gibt es ein Post Office, einige Lebensmittel, eine MIlchbar, Zeitungen, viele Informationen zum dörflichen Sozialleben. Alles in historische Ambiente. Man meint sich vorstellen zu können, wie es hier vor 100 Jahren zuging - wenn man davon absieht, dass es damals noch keine Tiefkühltruhen gab. Allein um zu gucken, muss man hier rein gehen und etwas kaufen, damit man länger gucken kann.
