meadowbank wines

We had a fantastic day with the Ellis family on their property, Meadowbank Estate. The property has about 6,000 acres of which there are about 100 acres devoted to vines. Most of the grapes are now sold to other producers.We had a great tour over the property with son in law Alex and then a great wine tasting experience with Gerald Ellis in his "library"( a "bush" wine cellar) where he very generously allowed us to taste a great variety of old Meadowbank wines made on the Estate.This was followed by a delightful lunch with the family on the veranda of their historic house.Alex provided transport to and from the EstateOverall a most memorable and delightful dayIt is not cheap but a great experience.
