If you are on your way to Port Arthur, or even if you are not (Which was our case because we weren't into the convict thing too much.....), be sure to stop and see the sights around Eaglehawk Neck.The weather wasn't ideal for us, but we did all the sites and enjoyed them thoroughly.The walks are all short and easy (I am pointing this out because some of the walks/hikes we did further into our Tasmania trip were much longer and more difficult) and well marked and maintained.Be sure to do them all - Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen, Fossil Bay, The Blowhole and Tesselated Pavement. They are all beautiful.Don't let the weather turn you off. Take an umbrella or poncho and do them all.Great Place!! Magnificent Scenery!!

Amazing natural beauty of the coast line, helps alleviate the memories of the horror that occurred at Port Arthur historic site. The campsite at Port Arthur has to be one of the best ever. Wonderful bushland setting with modern clean amenities and great camp kitchen.

Tasman Island cruise is a must for nature lovers. Seals, albatross, whales and dolphins abound in this area.

Well made paths and signage to give you timeline needed to complete walks. Most dramatic coastline. Sea bird life is worth photographing

Tesselated pavement, the blowhole, Tasman's arch and the Devils kitchen are all within fairly close proximity to one another. It is definitely worth committing a couple of hours to see these sites. The Tesselated pavement was the highlight for me.

Worth stopping to see the sites of the coastline in Tasman National Park. Good time to stretch your legs take int the sea air and views. The seafood vendor at the blow hole has the best scallops.

The Tasman National Park comprises some beautiful coastlines, that aren't brimming with lots of other tourists. This peaceful and pretty part of the Peninsula is well worth a visit, the bush meets the coast. See the Tessellated Pavement, the Arch and Devil's Kitchen, all within 4km of one another. There's plenty of local convict history associated with Eaglehawk Neck, and the information signs and sites (the Dog Line) are free.

Visited the Tasman National Park on the way to Port Arthur. We only allowed for 1-2 hours which was probably the first mistake. You really need a half day to full day to make the most out of the park. 2-3 days camping if you want to reach the bottom of the park. Entry fee is pretty expensive being $30pp or $60 per car (unless I misread the entry fees incorrectly). We ended up spending a lot of time around Fortescue Bay which is absolutely beautiful. There are adjoining walks but allow yourself plenty of time to trek this. Any walks you go on make sure you have the write equipment. Overall the national park is definitely worthwhile visiting although a little expensive. Mind the 12km gravel road entry though! Still - I would recommend going if you have at least a half day free.

Our first feature at Tasman national park was the tessellated pavements just before eagle-hawk neck at pirates bay. Imagine waffles made of stone and coated with the rushing saltish waves as the tide moves in. A must see feature. You could adjourn to the cafe at Lufra apartment for some lovely fish and chip before you proceed to the Tasman arch, Devil's kitchen, Blowhole and Remarkable cave. Go down the stairs to sea level to witness the awesome beauty of remarkable cave. It would only take 10 minutes. Remarkable cave features are those precedent to the formation of arch and blowhole. Also don't forget the lookout point at Pirate bay.

The Devils Kitchen and Tasman Arch were a short drive away and not a bad site to visit. It has quite good rock formations. The blowhole was extremely ordinary. The above attractions were considered a must do but I wouldnt call it a must do. If you have time, you can visit it.

A must visit when visiting Hobart. We drove there early in the morning. Not much crowd, got our best photoshoot. Interesting rocks formation along the way. Follow the signage and you will not miss a spot. We drove all the way.

Shipsterns bluff fantastic walk 2 hours in 2 hours out not a sole to be seen just the sound of birds and wave crashing on to the weather beaten coast line well worth the effort reasonable fitness level as there are a few steep spots , muddy slippery rocky unbelievable views be ready for all seasons very isolated very rewarding

Hi my name is damien peter Auksorius we travelled down to eagle hawk neck and found the Tasman arch , we were awe inspired and took so many photos , the arch and blowhole just takes your breath away , I'd recommend this spot to all my friends , loved it
