Lovely looking beach about 20 minutes drive from Port Lincoln. The lady at the tourist information office told us that this is where the locals go to swim. Get there by taking Proper Bay towards Whalers Way.The beach is accessible by 4WD and is quite flat and made of relatively fine grained white sand - just beautiful. On the day we were there, the wind was coming straight in from the southeast and was quite strong, so it wasn't great for going for a swim. Turns out that might have been a good idea, as we found a couple of Portuguese man-of-war 'jellyfish' washed up on the beach. I'm not sure if that is a common find in this part of the world - I doubt it. You might want to keep an eye out along the beach before taking the plunge.There are public toilets just before you head off the main track and on to the access track.
