Great fun - I only wished I could have gone every day I was in Darwin. Two downsides though. 1. It's not open long enough. 10am to 6pm. It should be open to dusk over summer / early Autumn / late spring (evening swims would be awesome given the temperature never drops). 2. The waves go in 20 minutes cycles with 10 minute breaks in-between. Two of the three cycles are pretty low key and a bit dull, but the third is awesome. Unfortunately because of the cycles you have to wait over an hour for the good waves. Otherwise, highly recommended. $7 entry for adults.

I must preface this by saying we did not go in - our accommodation was right next to it, so we seen quite a bit of it. We just didn't have time.Great facility so close to the city of Darwin. A large wave pool with boogie boards and tubes available. Various other pools with fountains, water jets etc. Lots of shaded places to sit - under trees and umbrellas, grass areas. Also next to this is a large parkland and a man-made protected beach you can also swim in. Good facilities for a great day out.

My family of 5 arrived last Christmas throughout the New Year. Had all their itinerary organised from City Tour, to Litchfiled Park drive to picnic & swim at Wave lagoon waterfront on New Year's Day and it was heavy rain but it was a brilliant to bring together all the family and friends for water activities. The adults cost $8, the pensioner cost $5 then the family combo discounted. My family enjoyed they stayed left the comment that the Wave Lagoon at Waterfront was better than any wave pool they had experienced and visited.

This is a great little spot, cheap, good fun but more tubes are require, its almost a fight to get one or just more policing of you don't own the tube, if your getting out of the water then leave it behind not take it to sit down for ages and it not get used.

Swim rings and body boards available. Sun lounges and good sun protection umbrellas. The change facilities were spacious and extremely clean. Lovely consistent waves from 10am to 6pm.

Great for all ages! Decent size waves as well, much better than Wet and Wild in QLD. Great facilities, a bit of a pain to have to walk so far, out of the pool area to get drinks and snacks, but still worth it. We spent a whole day here.

I went there with my 9 month old baby and although he didn´t really understand the concept of waves we had a blast playing in the waves and using the children´s pools

The wave pool is a fantastic facility for people of all ages. Great location near the waterfront, with restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Admission fee gets you access to the pool all day. We were there in February, so there were not to many people. Enjoyed it!!

A lot of fun can be had at the wave lagoon when it is not too crowded. Although we arrived at the Lagoon just as it opened for the day, there were so many people in the pool it was not an enjoyable experience as people were constantly knocking into us. We were lucky to get a flotation device, but many had to wait and it was not uncommon to see someone's device float away from them to be grabbed by another person. The pool does not open until 10.00am and it can be very hot by then. Unaware of the opening time we arrived at 9.00am hoping for a swim before the day heated up. We enjoyed a lot more, swimming in the pool in the grounds next door, on the day we went.

Entry gets you an all day pass so you can come and go. Floatation devices for riding the waves are free. Great fun for all ages.

Right on the harbour, but no crocodiles, box jelly fish or other nasties here - a safe, concrete wave pool with chlorinated salt water and lifeguards on duty. Plenty of fun for adults and kids. Admission $7 for an adult and $18 for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Grab the blue water tube or body board provided and go for a surf.

Every time we are in Darwin we love going to the wave lagoon. We left for lunch and returned after lunch for another swim. Our son loves it.

I love the wave pool. You can ride the waves on one of the pprovided tubes or boogie boards, have a snooze on one of the deck chairs, sit under a fountain or lye around in the shallow lagoons. This is a relaxing day out for young and old.

Had a really good day down at the lagoon, blowup rings and bodyboards are available for free, The waves in the pool turn on throughout the day! It's gets really hot down there so just remember to keep applying your sun cream. Sun lounges are around and you can also sit in shaded areas if needed.
