We enjoyed our time at the Wharf. Both days we were here, there were cruise ships in port. We were there to board the Queen Mary 2 and it was a great wharf for photo opportunities. Lots of shops and restaurants in the precinct, something for everyone. Markets were set up for the cruise ship passengers so that was also very nice. Recommend a look if you are in the Darwin area.

Walking along the Wharf precinct is a number of restaurants that offer quick and well priced meals in a pleasant environment

This area has beautiful parkland with lots of shady seating. The wave pool is here (entry fee payable), a free man made beach for a dip. Tons of restaurants, bars and takeaways around the land and onto the wharf. Local tip is to go on the Stokes Hill Wharf about 5.30pm to grab a table on the pier edge, then you can walk thru the two food courts and choose your dish, back to the table for first class position on the cheap. There is always something going on in this area, cruise ships arriving, pop-up markets. The bars have covered decks and lounge suites for comfortable afternoons even in the wet season.Just be warned that most restaurants close their kitchens by 9pm so if you are a late eater - you will miss out! Bars, of course, stay open late.A great spot to relax and do as little or as much as you want - all only 5 minutes from the city via an open elevated walk bridge and down in a glass lift.WWII oil tunnels are just near here too - an interesting addition to the history of the area.

Lots of things to see in and around the Darwin Wharf Precinct, several restaurants, and lots of boats to watch.

How come nearly every fish at every outlet is IMPORTED, where there are no controls on quality, chemicals etc. Only local Barra at a few places. Darwin is at the gateway to the fishing industry, how can it be possible that we need to import fish.

Big boats, small boats, WWII memorabillia, views to die for, the best of everything. Lots of choices for food and drinks. Taka the time to relax and take in the water views and have a feed.

We went in the wet season. There was a lot of fish and chip options, asian and fresh seafood, but there could be more options, only a couple of decent sit down restaurants. Plenty of seating though.

Always a great place to go in the wet season to have a good meal and watch the lightning shows over the Harbour

Great atmosphere & dining experience with a great range of different cuisine to choose from, from takeaway delicious barramundi & chips to Asian food to a-la-a-cart restaurant dining, there's plenty of choices. Then after dinner you can enjoy a nice ice cream or gelato from one of the ice cream shops. Every time we have gone for dinner at the wharf there always seems to be a band or orchestra playing close to the seating areas which just adds even more to the relaxing experience, would definitely recommend this place & it is very family friendly
