Attending a church service here means you have to be prepared to listen to Bible readings and sermons in Tahitian, but that in itself is a treat. The real treat is listening to the congregation singing four part harmony in Tahitian. Wonderful!! and Stirring!!

This temple on the waterfront in Papeete offers interesting singing, the sermon is in Tahitian and you can take a beautiful picture of all the colorful hats from upstairs looking down on the congregation. The Tahitian women all wear the most colorful hats and colorful dresses unless it's communion day, where everyone is dressed in white.
