Had been wanting to go to the aquarium for some time with my daughter. It isn't a big installation but still quite a nice aquarium. The price is a little high to get in but then again to support good staff and the comfort of these animals it is worth the spending. I loved the tunnel under the deep ocean fishes and so did my daughter. The star fish touching pond was super. My daughter didn't want to leave that area. Then it was time for lunch and that was a disappointment... No real good choice for my daughter... No milk?? Price/quantity/quality was a two thumbs down so I suggest that you bring your lunch. Then we saw the seal. Its outside and it was winter so it was cold but my daughter didn't want to leave. She just wanted to watch them swim. I loved the walruses and the big window to see them swim... It was the first thing we saw to begin with and it scared my girl so a suggestion, if you have a very young child, don't start with these guys but with smaller fishes. Then we saw the jelly fishes, sea horses and the sting rays. My daughter loved the sting rays and we got to meet the beautiful blue Macau that resides just above them. So all in all, I had a great experience and will return when my kid is a little older so she can have good memories of the place and she understands better what she's looking at.

The aquarium was close to our hotel so one afternoon with time to spare, we decided to go. I can't recall the amount paid to get in but it seemed fairly significant for two adults. The jellyfish were neat to see. While we were there a children's attraction with "pirates" were presenting. We just walked past that area, although spent a few moments watching the walruses. There seemed to be several groups of children - day camps maybe? It was neat to see but I would not return. I would be more interested in history etc. personally.

We visited on a very cold wintery day, but it was totally worth it. Not only did we get to watch one of the polar bears play with its toys for a good half hour or more, but the jellyfish and seahorse displays were outstanding! If we ever return to Quebec, we would definitely include another visit to this interesting aquarium.

Let me begin by saying that it is very expensive to get into the aquarium. It cost my wife and $42. I'm very torn on what to say about the place. The place was very interesting and gave you a good introduction worth of information about every creature they have there. There are a lot of interactive options as well. They have various animals that you are able to pet as well as including audience members in parts of the shows such as holding a ball up for the seals toe grab, or getting a kiss from one of the sea-lions. The sea horse and jelly fish exhibit was VERY impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring that area. The Walruses were also a lot of fun to see. They were very entertaining and appeared to be happy. They threw water in the air, splashed around and did what I can only describe as wrestling. The Polar bears and Arctic fox were both sleeping and did not appear to care at all that we were there. This is where the bad stuff starts. There was some kind of blue stuff all over the bears and their habitat. I don't know what exactly it was, but it was weird. If somebody could fill me in in that I'd appreciate it. The fish tanks were absolutely filthy. If you've read other reviews on here about the aquarium and think that people are exaggerating, they are not. Some of the tanks were so bad you could not see certain parts. I'm sure I have a few pictures that I could upload when I get home to show this. The staff in the gift shop as well as the information center were both great. All things considered Id recommend this place if you have a spare day. We went on the last day of our vacation after exhausting out "to do list."

Visited the aquarium upon recommendation of hotel staff. This was basically last on our agenda. Easily accessible area and ample parking space. Ticket staff were friendly and even suggested we take advantage of group rates and the AAA discount. We were not expecting to see much due to the cold weather, but were still entertained by the walruses and seals. The two polar bears and two arctic foxes were less inclined to wow visitors. The collection of fish was adequate and generally from the region. This place is definitely for the younger audience.

Not recommended for kids in the winter, Kids complained about all the walking outdoors to get from place to place especially in freezing weather. Not satisfied with value for money $60 for 2 adults and 1 child. Walrus, seals, and polar bears were amazing, ocean colorful fish were adorable. Good location just off the highway.

This is a run down "attraction" with not much to see. Shows were outdoors in the cold, and in French only. The tanks inside were a bit dirty and dingy looking and there was not a very impressive diversity of marine life. The plaques told the name of the fish, but not many fun facts. Although this is a small facility, they could have done more with the space. Even the touch tanks were not too exciting. This kept my kids entertained for about an hour, but they complained about all of the walking outdoors to get from place to place. It was not worth the money for us. We spent $60 for 2 adults and 1 child (free for the second child because she was under 3 years old) for entrance to the aquarium and festi lumiere at night. The exhibit at night was boring. Again, a lot of walking just to see light bulbs and a small bounce house. There was live music in a small tented area, but it was too crowded to get close enough to enjoy. This whole "attraction" just needs some sprucing up.

You should visit it ,especially if you have kids. We really liked the wide range of animals and a lot of jelly fish expositions!

My kids loved this aquarium. We have been to several others and this was probably one of the simpler, lower tech ones but it was much more fun. Good selection of fish even if the aquarium is on the smaller side. Nice outdoor playground, nice view of the St. Lawrence and the bridge - all fun for children. It's cold as there's a lot of outdoor walking and playing so bring warm clothes. We ate at the restaurant in the main building which wasn't very good - I'd pack your own lunch if you can. About a $30 cab ride from our hotel in the main downtown area near the conference centre.

Wow! There is so much to see! From the beautiful dance of the gellyfish to the funny walrus, you will have a great time! You can take all the time you want to look at all the exibitions and you can even touch some fishes! Outside, the view of the bridges is also nice. Would recommend to all nature lovers.

The Aquarium is organizing Halloween-themed nights in October and we stopped there last Friday to visit. There was A TON of people in line to purchase their tickets, so make sure to buy them online or prepare to wait at leat 1.5-2 hours. Once inside, we were walking butt-to-butt with the other people as there was so much people walking the only trail. I'm not sure it was worth the time and money, but i'ts a cool was to end your evening with the kids. There is NOTHING to worry about along the trail: yes there a monsters and or hidden people to scare you, but it's not that bad. Even the "adult" trail was fine for 8-9 years old kids. You also go thru the aquarium itself, so you visit all the sections of it. Duration of visit (with no waiting time to purchase the tickets): 90 minutes.

We stopped in for a visit on our way to Quebec City for a weekend stay. A few highlights: walruses are huge and very impressive, seals look like big playful swimming dogs of the seas, and the jelly fish exhibitions are really something else! Petting the Rays is also something to not miss, and the giant octopus is impressive!I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you have the chance!

Sure there are better aquariums, but for someone who has lived in Canada for 22 years, it is still the first time I saw polar bears, walruses, seals up close and arctic foxes, and I was thrilled! The place has a lovely setting by a river and is nicely landscaped. It is an old fashioned museum, quite low-tech and that I felt is part of it is charm. It felt like a return to childhood! The fish and anemone collection is adequate. Overall worth a visit, unless you've already seen these animals before.

Not the biggest attraction, but the space is well thought out, the shows are scheduled to allow you to see them all, there is a small park for the kids to run in and wonderful pick nick area with a great walking trail from which you can see the St-Laurent river. We have been twice in 4 years and have loved it both times. We brought our own lunch and have a blast.

This place is great but when I visited the aquarium there wasn't much attractions going on... it was a rainy day so all the exterior activities ( the best) were closed..
